So here we have it: the backbone of the whole Astral Plane deck. It’s good only for the turn it appears, because the Astral Plane will send it back to the deck on the turn’s end, but for that turn you can gain an extra 0-3 cards on-attack (so really after all is said and done you’ll need to drop a Grade 2 to actually net a plus). So for what it is, it’s a meaty rear-guard that basically forces the opponent to Perfect Guard it or eat a free damage, because the opponent is in no way going to just guard Valkerion if they have no PG because of efficiency purposes. I mean, it’s 70-bloody-k power. So clearly Valkerion is best dropped Late Game when the opponent has to guard with everything lest a Critical Trigger doom them to 6. Drop him Mid Game, and you basically wasted his best play unless you absolutely need to push the opponent to 5 for whatever reason.

May only have utility Late Game, but it’s basically 2 meaty Vanguard attacks for the turn so it certainly has merits. Pity there’s only way to search him and it’s chance-reliant.
