Star Call Trumpeter
Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 is bad. 3 is average. 5 is great.
Goodness me, I’m usually better than this. I should have started reviewing these last week, but I thought the release date was THIS week. So we got two new products, so we might as well start with the one that seems to have everyone talking, and that’s the new Special Deck for Majesty Lord Blaster.
So starting us off, Star Call Trumpeter. This is a straight +2, although most of the time not really one you proc early unless you opened with Blaster Dark, a spare Blaster to dump for Dark’s Drive +1, and the new Order. Now, the fact this reinforces the hand by two cards to use as PG fodder or just more attackers is neat. But as we know, exactly HOW neat is reflected in the number of copies you run. Personally I’d run 4 and 4 of each Blaster – only Livarot searches this (at least assuming you built MLB somewhat competently and run Livarot at all), and the cost to search encroaches on Star Call’s skill. Not to mention your G1 lineup outside of Wingal Brave will be so vanilla you may as well have as many 10k straight boosters as you can. MLBs on RG circle make magic numbers, and would greatly appreciate being able to carry their extra Critical after all.
Good plus engine, makes numbers as a booster with the second skill – is good, can stay.
We would love more volunteers to help us with our Card of the Day reviews. If you want to share your ideas on cards with other fans, feel free to drop us an email. We’d be happy to link back to your blog / YouTube Channel / etc. 😉
