Oppression Mutant Deity, Machining Despot
Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 is bad. 3 is average. 5 is great.
I look at this and I think, yeah, it’s useful to stun two rear-guards, maybe stun a vanguard if the opponent was a dumbass against this, but not especially useful early. Still, considering we still have Machining Destroyer and this is run alongside, rather than instead of, I don’t think it’s bad. It obviously excels late game when you can stand more of your things and therefore paralyze more of your opponent’s things, vanguard included, but I would say his main weakness is reliance on Machining Beet Atlas to work properly, which sucks as Atlas cannot be searched.
Still annoying to play against if it works, though.
Going along with Machining’s theme of not standing themselves or calling units out at Rest, Despot plays with those skills to give your units new life on the field and punish the opponent at the same time. With a few Rested Rear Guards, you can stun the opponent’s entire field for a single Counter Blast. Note that Despot affects units, meaning the Vanguard can be stunned by his ability as well. A nice addition to Machining’s niche arsenal.
