I normally do VRs first, but I can’t really review Lambros without this card to contextualize it with, so I’m doing this card first. Now Thavas is neat…when you think about the interaction with Lambros. Rest a unit to blow up a card. At first, not great, you’d rather have the pressure from lanes more than a hard +1, but then you remember Lambros will on-ride re-stand everything. Thavas sadly only gets to fulfill a third of the condition to Superior Ride Lambros, but thankfully the new support for him plus already existing self-resters like Penguin Soldier mean it shouldn’t be too hard.

After that, it’s basically a +0 wash, even before Lambros’s second skill – you drop a card, then Lambros gets +1 Drive Check, and then Thavas comes back at end of turn, netting you another Accel 2 and thus another draw for you. So with Accel 2 he’s an overall +1 for as long as you have Lambros in the deck to spare…which is probably like twice on a good day, you know that in testing cards don’t like being where they’re supposed to be.

Is neat. That’s basically the best way to summarize it.

3/5
