You still have to choose. You can’t just boardwipe like Blademaster. This matters…eh, sometimes. Not enough to really give any real craps about. No, the relevance is in how you can re-use the second skill alongside Fenrir to stack the deck, for an itial -1, but then redrawing to wash and in some situations plus. But me, I’m not such a big fan. I don’t really like IMPLIED soft pressure unless it’s virtually costless or it’s a nice bonus, like CEO Amaterasu or similar, because you get diminishing returns if you don’t actually score anything. You won’t really get the opponent to overguard unless they’re bad players, and you shouldn’t assume that or it colours your perception of the card.

So while the board wipe may be nice, as a Vanguard it has no relevance after that. As a way to fuel Fenrir, yes it adds some consistency but there are more devastating combos out there.
