How about we just DON’T make Fenrir bonkers? Christ, new set and one of the VRs is a big letdown. Oh well, pretty sure it’s just this one.
Okay, so rolling the first two skills together it’s basically CB1 and SB1 for a +2, one from hand and one from soul. I wouldn’t MIND…except that’s almost all it does. 10k power on VG circle is just an unnecessary bonus especially in Late Game when PGs are rife. Nowadays all of the soft advantage decks that matter like Dragonic Overlord “the X”, Majesty Lord, they can eat up cards faster than this card can get them, and if you add all the cards you want and STILL find that the opponent owns more cards than you, then you know your deck’s not doing something right.
Another point not in Fenrir’s favour? He doesn’t accumulate soul himself, he just soulblasts and lets his RGs work out details, and that almost certainly means he can’t be his own boss, just a backup to a better one, like CEO Yggdrassil, although I don’t think she’d do worse if you DON’T play him.
Wait for better things. Or keep playing Astral Poet, it seems to be where all the fun is happening.
