So finally with THAT list out of the way, let’s review the new Extra Booster we got. Now Agravain…assuming you ride fairly normally he’ll have 3 soul once he appears, meaning you’d have to eat nine rear-guards just to use the skill. Absorbing that many over the course of 2 turns isn’t…impossible, but sucking up 4 rear-guards and then 5 (or maybe the other way round) is a bit much, especially as Agravain will always minus unless you somehow start your turn with an empty board, because calling from the hand or discarding to call from the deck just to spring this is going to leave a sour taste in the mouth.

The flip side is that you could call a new column and attack with it, but that’s a job Platina Ezel does better, frankly, and it’s actually a plus to you overall. As for the actual payoff, it mean the opponent cannot guard with triggers for the rest of the fight, which is a nice way to finish someone, but people will generally prefer a card that can wipe out an opponent on Turn 4, or second ride, simply because the longer you give an opponent, the more chance they have to draw a card to turn it around. And Agravain’s minusing means stalling isn’t viable in the deck.

He’s not terrible IF he works, but honestly he seems a bit eh, even with his exclusive support.
