So yeah, as WarLycan promised…bugs. Darkface Alcides here is Gredora’s main source of offense, being a meaty 21k beater before boost and sealing intercept while attacking. Which is nice, considering Gredora’s best Strides are usually for defense. He also packs an on-call or on-ride Paralyze, but truthfully it won’t be especially useful unless the opponent cannot efficiently sack the column off somehow: unless you dropped Obtirandus and have resources to spare, sure, but that’s situational. It also eats resources Gredora needs for Obtirandus or her GB1, so don’t go nuts with that. He’s a beatstick and that’s what he’s good at.

Really only has one job but does it well.

Darkface is back and in more of a support role this time.  Happily playing second fiddle to his queen Gredora, Darkface serves as a tool for quick and easy stuns as well as being a strong instant beater.  You’re not going to have a great time if forced to Ride him, but on Rear Guard, he plays well with the deck’s overall strategy.

What’s up, Rogue Squad?!  So, I decided to make this week all about the bug mafia, so this week is all Megacolony, and seeing how we already reviewed the big queen herself, let’s have a look at her number one lieutenant, Darkface Alicides.  The great thing about Ali here is that while the column stun is nice, the really great thing is that he’s a very easy to fulfill unboosted 21k attacker that forbids intercepting, making having to block him a bit harder than the average attack as it’ll force out either a G Guardian or a minimal of two cards from the opponent’s hand, and seeing how Megacolony are all about a slow kill of the hand, this just fits with his Queen perfectly.  In short, if you play Gredora, Ali should always be by her side.

Artwork: 4.5/5 (It really does show an emphasis on Darkface’s evolution)

Next Time: More ways to stun a Vanguard…easier?
