Galactic Beast, Zeal – #V-SS08/043EN (RRR)

It’s…nice, I guess. Better than Grangallop, but then again that’s not a high bar to clear. I like that it absorbs rear-guards to drop power, so even if you miss the ride chain it can be fixed. The first skill’s +1 is just a free random advantage that isn’t worth relying on, so just use it for the power drop (assuming the opponent’s not playing Protect 1) or absorb it via the second skill as soon as possible. Is -1 to grant 10k to all columns basically worth it? I’d say…barely? I mean, I know other units that could provide that sort of bonus continuously without needing a cost to be paid, but I guess it’s nice, given that it’s Force. Don’t go mad spamming the second skill though, because on top of the power drop, the Extra Drive isn’t going to do anything for you because the opponent will more likely than not just drop a PG in the face even without that.
Power drop is nice, with Force 2 pressure, but still not my first port of call for Dimension Police. Also, why didn’t they release Larval Beast Zeal as a starter, unless it was just to annoy people who wanted the whole set?
