Shame the first skill isn’t continuous, because then all Chatura that appear during the Battle Phase would power up too – something OG Vanquisher had. But that’s a minor quibble. Let’s talk about the SUperior Ride. Out of everything that can proc this during Battle, only Jaggy Shot and Rock Climb Dragoon could reasonably proc this. That’s 7-8 potential targets assuming you maxxed Rock Climb and at least still ran Jaggy Shot at reasonable numbers whist still maxxing Vanquisher and Vanquisher 2.0. The end result is that you -1, get +1 from Accel 2, then Drive +1, so with Accel 2 it’s a straight +1 to you, the downside being you can’t inherit trigger effects on the Vanguard, but that’s still hardly a reason not to run this.
Bad points? Yes, of course it doesn’t work nearly as well if ridden first, but neither did Jaggy Shot and that never stopped people from running Jaggy Shot, and it takes up G3 space just to have another VG attack…and that’s it. I can’t name too much else.
Loses a few points for not being self-sufficient, but can be compensated for.
