Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale. 1 is bad. 3 is average. 5 is great.
Just realised an opportunity to review this never came up. We’re on a slow week so might as well take this chance. And for the record, I don’t like it.
The problem is the timing and use. When combined with a rear-guard grade 3 (of which there is only ONE good one, Dragonic Overlord, and only because he powers up himself), what you have is basically “-1 to make you drop a trigger please”. Big fucking whoop. And when combined with something else like Dragonic Waterfall…assuming you didn’t get sacked to hell, just Waterfall alone would be enough to kill the opponent dead, so Gaias is just winmore as fuck.
I have found no situation where Gaias could be used to actually turn a game around without some sort of unwanted sacrifice on your part. He’s not worth cutting Bahrs, Aermos Raopias for to run in large amounts. I just run Gojo instead to pair with Berserk dragon: anticipates damage triggers to a degree at least.
We would love more volunteers to help us with our Card of the Day reviews. If you want to share your ideas on cards with other fans, feel free to drop us an email. We’d be happy to link back to your blog / YouTube Channel / etc. 😉
