Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh! Card of the Day
Daily Since 2002!

Digital Bug Websolder
- #SHVI-EN035

Cannot be used as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon, except for the Xyz Summon of an Insect-Type monster. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Attack Position monster you control; change it to Defense Position, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 3 Insect-Type monster from your hand in Defense Position. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Xyz Material gains this effect. ● If it is Xyz Summoned: The DEF of all face-up monsters your opponent controls become 0, also change them to Defense Position.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Been a while since we've reviewed an Insect-Type monster. Digital Bug Websolder has some alright support behind it, along with decent ATK for a Level 3. Belonging to the "Digital Bug" archetype, Websolder and the other members of the archetype revolve around Insect-Type Xyz monsters. While you cant use them for Xyz summons other than Insect-type monsters, their ability to change battle positions can be useful.

If you have an attack-position monster you can use this monster's effect (even a token can be used). Change the battle position and then get another Level 3 Insect. Xyz Summon with this monster and you can Zero Gravity your opponents monsters and drop their DEF to 0. Combined with Digital Bug Centerbit and you can attack all your opponents monsters. Verdant Sanctuary and Shining Angel can help you search out more of these creepy crawling monsters, alongside a few archetype-specific cards.

Advanced-1/5 Only works in Insect decks, and even there its restricted to revolving around Level 3's

Today is a guest post by WarlockBlitz's wife because he is too hung-over. I have only a very general knowledge of YuGiOh. Let's explore this card together!

Digital Bug Websolder... Obviously this is the manifestation of a computer virus. The depiction of the creature is actually pretty cute. This card can only be used to XYZ insects, limiting the XYZ potential for other monsters. The ability to force a card from attack into defense is pretty neat. I'd use this when my husband breaks out a too big card for me to handle, forcing at least a turn to figure out what to do next while it's in defense mode. Using this effect allows you to special summon an insect-type monster, level 3, on to your field in defense mode. Building up defenses is a good strategy but I personally prefer to attack head on. You should totally use this card as XYZ material because... all other monsters, yes, all of your opponents crazy strong monsters, get DEF 0 and put into defense mode. Then you can pick them off and win the match! This is like when a buggy file sneak attack corrupts all the files on your computer and your life and your life ends because omg, that was my midterm! (Note: This only happens with Windows.) All-in-all, this card will help you destroy your opponents and your opponents' computers.

Score: 5/5

Art: 4/5 (needs bows on legs. they should be pink.)
