All right, the three remaining cards this week work similarly to the Gadgets, the notable difference being they are Thunder Monsters.  Pahunder, who vaguely resembles an Elemental Hero, at least art wise.  Pahunder is a Level 4, Thunder Monster, with rather unremarkable stats, at 1300 and 900 respectively.  Now, once per turn, Pahunder allows you an additional Normal Summon (note NORMAL) as long as the Monster is a Level 4, Light, Thunder Monster, present company excluded of course, as is traditional in Yugioh.  Note also, this is treated as an additional Normal Summon, which is unique in itself.  As stated, this card works well with tomorrow and Friday, and I kinda think you might need a Thunder Deck geared toward these guys to really be successful.  I don't see this breaking open this Format, but it could be fun to play with.

For the next three days, we are going to be looking at the Hunder monster theme which consists of level 4 Light Thunder monsters. Get it, Thunder/Hunder and oddly enough they all contain Hunder in their name. The fist monster is Pahunder.

What gives the Hunder monster’s there power is their ability to normal summon other level 4 light thunder monsters. They are the monster version of Ultimate Offerings. Summon Pahunder then use it’s effect to normal summon Mahunder to normal summon another Pahunder to normal summon Mahunder and before you know it, you have 4 level 4 monsters on the field to special summon Rank 4 Xyz monsters like Utopia, Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon, and Shock Master.

Getting what you need in your hand is not hard with these monsters. With Photon Veil you can search for the Hunder you need or Thunder Seahorse which can search for two of the same Hunders. Recycling Batteries can add two Hunder monsters in your graveyard to your hand. Use Shinning Angel and Summoner Monk to get a Hunder you need to the field.

The Hunders thunder archetype is not the best for hand management, but it has some possibilities in a deck based around Xyz summoning, especially with Shock Master. Personally, I think there are just too many explosive decks out there to allow Hunders to be good enough to make the grade.

Pahunder is up to bat today on COTD. This guy seems to be the head of the Hunder mini family. A level 4 LIGHT/Thunder type, with 1300 ATK and 600 DEF.

Once per turn; You can normal summon 1 level 4 LIGHT/Thunder-type monster from your hand, except Pahunder, from your hand as an additional normal summon.

Special summoning is not in the Hunder family's vocabulary, as evident from there effects that allow you to get an extra normal summon from your hand. You get get not just Mahunder and Sishunder, but other Thunder monsters like Thunder King Rai-Oh, Thunder Nyan-Nyan and Vylon Prism can get you a level 4 tuner for a level 8 Synchro. Or you can go for broke and swarm the field with a bunch of level 4s and either Xyz summon, synchro summon or just flat out attack with Thunder King leading the charge. Being LIGHT also means Honest is a welcome piece of tech, only because with those stats, Pahunder could use all the help he can get. Overall, this guy can only really exist in one deck, and that is with the rest of his Hunder family and his fellow level 4 LIGHT/Thunder monsters. Now if they just made better Spells/Traps for Thunders, because Judgement of Thunder isn't enough. And all the good ones already out are just for Batterymen.

Traditional: 2.5 LIGHT= Chaos
Advanced: 3 In his own deck
Tomorrow: You should know by now.

Angelic Nightmare

Hello all! Welcome back to our Thunder Family week.

Pahunder

Light/ Thunder/ Lv 4/ 1300 ATK/ 600 DEF

“Once per turn: You can Normal Summon 1 Level 4 LIGHT Thunder-Type monster from your hand, except "Pahunder", as an additional Normal Summon.”

This card is the beginning of the (T)hunder archetype. Oddly enough Pahunder and Mahunder have the exact same effect, respectively.

This card has a lot of synergy with various cards: Thunderking Rai-Oh, E-HERO Voltic, Batterymen, Vylon Prism, and the rest of the hunder family. Needless to say this card is screaming to be veiler’d or face the wrath of an XYZ or Synchro monster.

If you’re looking to swarm the field, you can easily back up the field with Messenger of Peace, Gravity Bind, or Level Limit Area-B and continue the swarm next turn. This deck is really notorious for easily making Shock Master and other 3 XYZ material Rank 4 monsters.

Pros: Searchable via Sangan and Shinning Angel, Honest-able, and recyclable with Recharging Batteries.

Cons: Weak and can easily be stopped by Summon Limit and Effect Veiler.

Advanced: 3/5

Traditional: 1/5
