Remember Revival Jam--well this is the Rock version, and he doesn't suck.  This guy could actually be teched into about any Deck you want.  He may not be any immediate positive advantage, although recycling from the Graveyard to the Field would technically be a +1, he has potential to lead to more, being Level 4.  Syncho and XYZ obviously come to mind.  Earth attribute, and 100 attack aren't anything to write home about, but the 2100 defense is excellent.  You can only use the effect of Revival Golem once a turn, and when sent from the Deck to the Graveyard, you can return him from the Graveyard to the Hand, or Special Summon him.  No stipulation as to the position required, so that's good too.  It's a simple card, and he won't break the game open, but he might show up more than you expect.

Revival Golem may revive Earth and Rock decks. It would also go great with yesterday’s card as it is an Earth monster and has a nice 2100 defense. There is a lot of support for Rock decks using this card as Rock Bombardment and Catapult Zone can easily dump Revival Golem and give you a level 4 monster on the field to Synchro, Xyz, or tribute. Foolish Burial, Dust Knight, Card Trooper, and any card that mills will also work well with Revival Golem.
Lightswarm, Koa’ki Meiru, Rock Stun/Fossil Dyna, and a number of other deck types can run Revival Golem quit successfully. It is hard to say how good Revival Golem will be as it seems limited to decks that like to send cards from the deck to the graveyard. If you get this card in your hand, you might want to consider running Goblin Good Housekeeping. Perhaps if Rock decks get a good rank 4 monster like Dinosaurs do in Laggia and Dolka, I could rate Revival Golem higher.

Number 8 on our list has us getting our hands dirty with another EARTH/Rock type in the form of Revival Golem. It reminds me of Wulf but with its ATK and DEF reversed.
The effect of Revival Golem can only be used once per turn. When this card is sent from the deck to the graveyard, activate one of these effects:
Special summon this card from your hand.
Add this card from the graveyard to your hand.
This is a good, balanced card, because you can use this once a turn. With 2100 DEF, it can hold off a lot, but 100 ATK is laughable, but I see why they did it. Being level 4 means Xyz and synchro summoning are right around the corner. Once again, Rock Bombardment is one of the best ways to get this in the grave, along with Dust Knight and Foolish Burial. Rock decks get a huge boost with Revival Golem, so don't be surprised if you look across the table and someone is flinging Rock-types with Rock Bombardment and this guy pops up.

Angelic Nightmare

Hello and welcome back to our Top 11 cards from the new set. Today we are going to be reviewing an interesting new card, Revival Golem.

Revival Golem

Earth/ Rock/ Lv 4/ 100 ATK/ 2100 DEF

“The effect of "Revival Golem" can only be used once per turn. When this card is sent from your Deck to the Graveyard: Activate 1 of these effects.

 ● Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

● Add this card from the Graveyard to your hand.”

Let me start off by saying that this card has great defensive stats for a level 4 monster, but that isn’t the best part. This card is essentially a new combo piece with a few different cards. In this set a new field spell was released that aides in the arsenal of rock type monsters. That new field spell is called “Catapult Zone” and essentially protects one of your monsters from battle once per turn. If you choose to activate that effect you dump a rock type from the deck to the grave, but that is where this little golem comes in.  This card has a lot of XYZ potential and can essentially be a nice opposing wall short of XYZ and Synchro monsters.

Some cards that this card works well with are Catapult Zone (duh!), Foolish Burial, Rock Bombardment, Dust Knight, and Light Sworn Support cards I suppose.

Pros: Great defense stats, good attribute and type.

Cons: Prone to Enemy Controller, Photon Butterfly, and horrible attack stats.
