Dark Paladin

Wednesday

Continuing Six Samurai week, we come to Mizuho who is a Level 3, Warrior type monter, interestingly enough of the Fire attribute (which might lead you to believe burn could be involved here) who has 1600 attack and 1000 defense.

If Mizuho's broter Shinai is face-up on your Field, you can Special Summon this card, and that works well as the Samurai obviously like to Special Summon others and swarm.  Furthermore, once per turn you can tribute another Six Samurai mnster to select and destroy one card on the Field.

That, is an excellent trade.  You have to give up a monster, but can destroy any other card on the Field. Monster, Magic, or Trap, or even something of your own, if you were to so desire.  This is a good card, in a good Deck, that seems to quickly becoming crowded.

Guess what today’s card is? Another Six Samurai. Mizuho, the new fire Six Samurai, has many things better and worse than his counterpart, the Hand of the Six Samurai. First, Hand of the Six Samurai can tribute herself. That means that if you are going to use Mizuho, then you will need another monster on the field. Next, Hand can also use her ability more than once per turn. This way, if you can swarm the field, you can only destroy one card with Mizuho. Things are looking pretty bad for Mizuho, but unlike Hand, he can destroy any card on the field. Magic and monster destruction right there. Also, Mizuho can be special summoned from your hand if you control another Six Sam. Well, now that you’ve seen the choices, it’s time for you to pick your poison.

Legendary Six Samurai Mizuho

This is the earlier form of Hand of the Six Samurai. Like Hand, she is a level 3 FIRE Warrior with 1600 ATK and 1000 DEF. This like with Shinai allows you to search it out with Smoke Signal and Reinforcements, meaing that you can always have a Mizuho when you want one.

Her effect allows you to Special Summon her if you control a face up Shinai. Also you can Tribute a Samurai once per turn in order to destroy one card on the field. You can see how this comboes quite nicely with Shinai and allows you to destroy cards for free, which seems good, but she is also slightly worse than Hand, as Mizuho can only Tribute other Samurai as well as only once per turn.

You play Mizuho if you play Shinai, but you can also play her alongside Hand. Again not necessary for the deck to win, but certainly can help in the right situations.
