Rockstone Warrior, a Level 4, Earth attribute monster of the Rock type, which is just such a surprise...with 1800 attack and 1600 defense, so his stats aren't that bad.

Now, as for effects here, you take no Battle Damage from a Battle involving Rockstone Warrior, which is a nice effect on most any card, so I can't complain about that. Plus, when the card is destroyed by Battle, you get to Special Summon two (useless) tokens.

Now, the tokens can't be used for a Tribute Summon, which is always quite a negative aspect, and you only get them if Rockstone Warrior is destroyed by Battle, so if your opponent doens't want to deal with that, this guy will be destroyed in other manners...

General Zorpa Rockstone Warrior

This guy is rockin'! Too bad of a pun? I think so. Anywa we have an 1800 ATK Rock monster of the EARTH attribute and level 4. Right there the stats are solid. He can hold his own with pretty much any other level 4 monster in the game and still come out on top.Now his effect is where it gets interesting.

When he dies by Battle, you get two Rockstone tokens. WOW! There is a reason that Dandylion was limited to one. Free tokens are pretty much always going to be a good thing. You can Synchro for extra levels as well as tribute them off for the very underrated Destiny Hero Plasma. I do hope that we get more of these guys in the future as I wold very much like to make a token Plasma deck for my own sick fun.

Today’s card up for review is Rockstone Warrior. HEY, more support for forgotten deck types! I apologize, I haven’t had much time still to research the newest set, and what decks certain cards could go in. Im not seeing a point of the tokens you get when this guy gets killed, except for something like Destiny Hero Plasma?. I won’t complain about a type getting support, a 1800 beater is one of the best monsters that a Rock themed deck can create, it isn’t so great though

Rockstone Warrior …

He’s kinda like a lamer brick version of Dandylion … Rockstone has got a solid attack for a level 4 … 1800 … that’ll win a good amount of fights … and since u take no battle damage with him – it doesn’t matter if someone DOES run over him, so that’s good. Earth? - a very good attribute as well.

So what’s wrong with him? … Well, nothing is WRONG with him … just his effect is so lackluster u just say – “What’s the point?” When he’s destroyed by battle, u get 2 tokens with no attack or defense. They can’t be tributed for a tribute summon, so they are essentially nothing more than extra blockers … extra blockers that Treeborn Frog could break through if it wanted to … Again – nothing is WRONG with that, but chances are u would rather be playing a card that can do a little more. I compared Rockstone20to Dandylion, cuz although Dandylion doesn’t have Rockstone’s stats, nor his immunity to battle damage – he’ll give u tokens almost any and EVERY time … no matter HOW he’s sent to the graveyard. Rockstone only gets them from battle. So if he’s cleared by a Judgment Dragon or a Dark Armed Dragon – u get nothing. Dandylion? – He’ll continue to help u. Also, Dandylion’s tokens can be tributed the next turn. Also very useful.

1800 ATK aint crap, but it’s nothing to write home about or build a deck around. So u would only be trying to play a card like this for his effect … and to THAT end, u have better options.

Today we review a new and rather decent card for Rock fans out there. Rockstone Warrior, this card adds some much needed support to Dark Gaia decks as well as anyone sticking strictly to a Rock-Type theme deck. Rockstone Warrior is a solid 1800 attack, 1600 defense monster, and you take no damage from battles he's involved in. Also when its destroyed by battle while attacking you can special summon 2 Rockstone Tokens to the field. The tokens cant be used as tributes however for tribute summons, but overall the effect is pretty good. Having another high attacking monster to go with cards like Gigantes, Koa'ki Meiru Guardian and various others, it makes Dark Gaia pretty interesting to run again.

[Rock/Effect] Earth LV4 ATK/1800 DEF/1600

This card is another iffy card. You get two tokens when he is destroyed by battle. That's only IF he's destroyed by battle. Bottomless, PWWB, Dimensional Prison, Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, and even Sakurestsu can easily get him off the field with no problem and that's not even all the cards used in this meta to get rid of monsters. He could have been good with Monarchs but you can't use the tokens for a tribute summon. Back in the beat down format (When Jinzo, Gemini, Elf, Slate Warrior and Goblin Attack force was prominent in every deck.) this card would easily reign king as being able to defend yourself from losing hefty amounts of life points. There is still some light for this card. Effect negation is one of the biggest things in this Meta so he would make getting out Destiny Hero – Plasma allot easier.
