Blackwing Armed Wing, which sadly should be our card
for tomorrow, as it's the best card of the week, and
I use the term "best" loosely, is a Winged-Beast
Synchro monster who is Level 6 of the Dark attribute
with 2300 attack and 1000 defense.
Blackwing Armed Wing is Synchro Summoned with a
Blackwing Tuner and one or more non Tuner monsters.
So, in short, we have a monster with trample when
attacking defense monsters, who also gains 500
attack in the same situation...so 2800 and trample
However, you still have 2300 when attacking or being
attacked in any other situation, but Blackwings are
good enough, strong enough, and quick enough to get
around little things like 2300 attack on a Level 6
Traditional: 2.65/5 Dark is good
Art: 4.5/5 Again, better if holo
Here we have the second of the blackwing Synchros,
and he is not quite as much of a doozy as his older
cousin. He has 2300 ATK and 1000 DEF. This is subpar
even for a level 5 Synchro, as Magical Android far
outstrips it. What makes it good is that it is a
level 6 Blackwing DARK Winged Beast. You do need a
Blackwing Tuner to summon it though.
The effects are ok. He gains 500 ATK when he attacks
a DEf position monster, which kills hoplomus and he
has piercing, which is ratehr good. The effects are
just icing on the cake pretty much. You almost
exclusively use him after Goyo has died or for use
in the OTK with Vayu from the next set.
All in all you need to play him as your level 6
Synchros in a Blackwing deck, but really nowhere
else would need to have him at all.
Blackwing Armed Wing
Today’s card up for review is Blackwing Armed
Wing. This card is pretty cool. You only need one of
this guy in a extra deck if you are using Blackwings.
You won’t bring him out much, if you could, you
would bring Goyo out first in most situations you
will come across. Main reason I like him, besides
the trample, is that you could drop Kalut with him.
Not much to say about him besides that he is a solid
card and staple in a Blackwing deck.
Blackwing Armed Wing …
Well, I’m a Blackwing player, so I kinda like this
card automatically … essentially is just another
Synchro option if u only have 6 stars available …
but then again, for 6 stars – maybe u want to grab
Goyo Guardian instead, no?
2300 ATK is on the lighter end for 6 stars, but when
attacking something in DEF mode, his attack goes up
by 500 and he pierces … that’s pretty good if it is
down to the stretch and u are trying to finish you
opponent off, or u have a Kalut in hand, and need to
put the extra hurting on someone … But if neither of
those are the case, like I said – u may wanna grab
Goyo Guardian instead.
He’s really somewhere between a 3 and a 3.5 … but I
hate giving those quarter ratings … and his picture
DOES rock, so ....

We review another
Blackwing monster today, the second synchro of the
Blackwing series, Blackwing Armed Wing. Im going to
go to the point on Armed Wing only because the card
is completely thrown out there. Yes, the card is
easy to summon regarding Blackwing decks as well as
any deck that uses any level 3 monsters with Gale
the Whirlwind. Armed Wing, when it attacks a defense
monster it gains 500 and does piercing. Goyo
Guardian is much better than Armed Wing and so is
Iron Chain Dragon because they affect the opponent
in a way the deck doesn't already. Bora the Spear
already does piercing and you have Kalut if you
really feel the need to boost up a monster. Dont get
me wrong Armed Wing isn't bad, in fact its another
good target for Kaluts effect and provides another
level 6 synchro for Blackwings. Personally I dont
like Armed Wing in any deck in multiples. 1 Armed
Wing, 1 Goyo Guardian and 1 Iron Chain Dragon in any
Blackwing deck is fine.
Blackwing Armed Wing
Armed Wing is probably one of my favorite Synchros
to summon in Blackwing. No matter what the opponent
does, you're constantly putting pressure on them.
There are times when Goyo is obviously superior(like
when the opponent has Stardust out), but this thing
just destroys everything else. Summon Armed Wing and
set Icarus and you are in almost complete control.
If you play Blackwing, there is no reason not to own
Black Wing Armed Wing
is a simple yet good card. If it wasn't a synchro or
if it was level 7 it would definitely see less play
due to its effect being good, but not good enough.
This card is great when you need an extra push
towards your opponents life points and can usually
end games premature coupled with the infamous Dark
Strike Fighter. All in all it ios a good card but
isn't used as a staple synchro due to its
Blackwing Armed Wing….
Not only tramples, but gains another 500 attack
points in the process when doing so. Already
equipped with a base attack of 2300, it’s enough to
get over pretty much anything that’s being played
today with the exception of Destiny Hero Defender.
The extra 500 is just icing on the cake.
When I look at this card, I think of a game
finisher. Unless you can end the game with the
trample, there is no reason why this monster should
be favored over Goyo Guardian. It has lower attack
and presents less field control/presence. Compared
to Goyo’s 2800 attack, Armed Wing’s 2300 seems
rather small as there’s plenty of monsters that can
attack over it, or kamikaze.
Of course with Goyo only at 1, and the ease
Blackwing decks have at synchro-summoning, this card
is definitely worth running in the extra deck. That
way if the Goyo synchro is negated or destroyed, you
still have options aside from Gaia (which no one
This creature will likely only be seeing playing
time in dedicated Blackwing decks, unless people
decide to use Gale as tech in others.
