Dark Paladin

Wednesday

Moving along, we come to another Lightsworn monster, Lumina, the Lightsworn Summoner.  Lumina is a Level 3 Spellcaster, of the Light attribute, with 1000 atk and def.  Lumina the Summoner, does exactly as her name implies...

Once per turn, by discarding one card from your Hand, you can Special Summon one Level 4 or lower Lightsworn monster from your Graveyard back to the Field.  During your End Phase, send the top three cards of your Deck to the Graveyard.

Now, this is technically a 1-for-1 for you, as you discard a card from your Hand, and then you Special Summon a monster.  Lumina is very specific...you have to discard a card to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower monster and it can only be from your Graveyard.

However, the Lightsworn can easily make advantage of things like this :)

Ratings:

Traditional:   2/5  Not bad, but I don't think these ladies are strong

enough for Traditional.

Advanced:  3.5/5  Definitely an asset for the Lightsworn Deck.

Wednesday:
Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner

This review will be short and sweet -- 3-card mill is standard for the Lightsworn theme, and pitching any card to Special Summon a Lightsworn is instant field presence.  Given that there are some Lightsworns you don't want to (or can't) Normal Summon, there's no reason not to play this even if it's attached to a 1,000 ATK body.

4/5 for the theme
General Zorpa Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner

Well, here is the third best Lightsworn monster. She will Special Summon any Lightsworn from the grave at the cost of ANY discard. Zombie Master broke zombies again, and Lumina has a far more versatile effect. Since You will be burning your deck off faster than any other deck before, Lumina will always have targets, and maybe even prepping your graveyard for Judgment Dragon with the discard.

She is an amazing card, but obviously only in decks packing multiple Lightsworn monsters. There is even an OTK using this card, Toon Cannon Soldier or Mass Driver and Card of Safe Return. You essentially draw out the deck in order to burn the opponent, and as the monster side of the equation is easily searchable (Shining Angel and Toon Table of Contents) the OTK is quite doable.

[insert evil laughter]! FREE AGAIN!!! Oh. Hi. I'm Yami pwii. I finally escaped, and am back to ruin his job! [insert evil laughter]! Anyways, today's card is lightsworn sorceress.

This card has great potential with nightmare of labyrinth. Alone, it's still good, but only for the lightsworn deck. Personally, I'd run three of these and nol for mass advantage. But that's only me.

5/5 lightsworn deck, both formats.
