I think as far as monsters go this thing has one cool picture. But ultimately man-eater bug is better. Doom Dozer is better. Really any card (including da NEO-SPACIAN DOLPHIN from yesterday)

I just see no point in running this card. Honestly, how many people set more than 2 s/t at any point in the game. If they do, morphing jar is ahead. If an opponent has 5 s/t on their field, 6 if they are running a field spell card, we get a whopping 2900 beatstick. Of course any opponent with that many s/t will more than likely have something (RING, Mirror Force, Sakuretsu armor, widespread ruin, etc, etc, etc.) to remove him. Once again I am left pondering why we have these kind of cards as super rares.

Black Stego should of been the super rare. Dark Ptera should of been the super. Sabersaurus is better than this. I'll even go as far and say that D-Hero Fear Monger is better than this.

Why? Why?

Future Fusion and Overload Fusion were Silver Stamps. This was a super.

The scarab is easily search-able but really not worth searching for. It is going to die in battle and simply said, not going to do a DAMN thing while on the field.

I can not think of any use for this card. Trade it. Trade it and get something worthwhile like BEUD.

(I AM DOOMED TO GIVE IT A 1/5. Just b/c I can't go lower)

how is it playable?

Even in the Neo-Deck I find no use for it. But one can never be absolute. If ya all got something let me know.

ExMinion OfDarkness
Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab

The better your opponent, the less this will do.

Sure, there are those random newbies that will set their whole hand and none of it will be anything that can destroy this, but odds are if your opponent has two or more cards down, one of them can stop this thing from attacking. It would take three cards for this thing to even have a moderately respectable 1700.

As I said, only one of the Contact Fusion pieces is good, and this one isn't it.

1/5 all, again

What the frack does fire have to do with scarabs?

Good because its insect support. Bad because your opponent can actively alter its attack. Generally, this'll be 900/1300, which is fairly useless. Any opponent which lets you see three or more s/t's deserves to to smacked in preparation for the Storm. A higher initial attack with lower increase or looking at your own s/t's and it might be playable. As it stands, this is thoroughly meh.

Advanced: 2/5

Share and enjoy,
Pippin No.

Just No.

The only way this would get any attack worth mentioning is if you were playing against a Stall in which case, attack doesn't help unless you get rid of the magic and traps so you can attack which lowers his attack again.

His fusion had better be something nice, but hey, just use a substitute.
Most of them have better stats than this.

Bottom Line:
1/5 All
Neo Spacian Deck: 2/5 if the fusion is good. Like I said, use subs.

Until Next Time, RAAAAAAIIIIIDDD!! Boom! Kills bugs dead.

Neo Spacian Flare Scarab

Wow, now this is very bad.

At BEST, this monster could receive 2400 +, and that’s if they play a field card, AS WELL as all their other s/ts, which in turn WILL be the thing that kills you when this 2800 ‘Powerhouse’ attacks you.

Not only is this a weak card through that abysmal attack increase, it’s also entirely dependant on the opponent. On average, people set 1 s/t, 2 if you’re lucky, that’d pump him up to 1200. Whoop de do…

In the interest of LENGTHENING this review, I’ll talk about what he’s here for. Flare Scarab is another one of the new ‘Contact’ fusers released to us in POTD. This one being particularly bad as you are forced to run this card, which completely sucks. As said yesterday, contact fusion is bad, worse than actual fusion, and it only last for the 1 turn, then you lose your monsters again. As said yesterday, this monster won’t work in a deck full of e heroes, so just stick it in a Neos deck.

MikeJ Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab

Basic Summary: Now I'm not a huge fan of Flare Scarab much like all E-Hero support but this one I dislike the most. Now if you're playing against an conservative player which is very likely he/she willn't set many Spell/Traps even if soo 400 ATK boost for each one isn't that great like for example your opponent most have 4-5 Traps/Spells to take down the much popular Cyber Dragon. Now unless you're a running a hardcore E-Hero/Neo-Spacian deck this should mainly be huge tradebait for kids :D

Conclusion: Like I mentioned above the other Neos are much superior for there weird effects then this but kind of important for the Fusion which there will most likely will be one.

Traditional Format > 1/5: Its amazing/rare to see your opponent have 4-5 cards on the field with HFD around

Advance Format > 1/5 ( General ) 2/5 ( Neo-Spacian deck )

Artwork > 1/5: Magical Merchant still is the coolest Insect in my opinion

Neo-Spacian Flare Scarab

Today’s card is a nice weapon against the nigh-existent Stall decks that will be in the format. It gains 400 ATK for each Spell or Trap on the opponent’s side of the field. If Level Limit and Gravity Bind were still threats, I’d give this card more credit. He can get as big as 2500 and still run under a Stall deck’s defenses.

Last Word: There isn’t much else to say. He’s a mini-beatstick; he’s good at what he’s built for. It’s too bad it’s the wrong format for him to thrive in.
