Monday - Amazoness Fighter

Earth/4/1300/1300
[Warrior/Effect]
Effect: All Battle Damage to this card's controller that he/she takes from a battle involving this monster becomes 0.

Why would anyone want to bother with such a pathetic Monster? I see no point in playing such a weak Monster just for the purpose of not taking a small dose of Life Point damage. Please... I'll take Kuriboh over this card anyday. Atleast then I could actually suprise my opponent. Sure the Amazoness trait could give an Amazoness deck some benefits, but it's not worth running this Monster in the long run.

In Limited it's fine. Monsters are Monsters, and anything over 1000 ATK is playable in Limited. The Effect may even save you from a game-ending blow.

Amazoness Fighter
MFC-060-Short Print
Earth/Warrior/4/1300/1300
Effect: All Battle Damage to this card's controller that he/she takes from a battle involving this monster becomes 0.

Pros:
Searchable by Sangan, WOTBF, Giant Rat and Last Will
Built in Kuriboh (Kinda)

Cons:
Weak Stats
Effect isn't all that great

Combos:
Ring Of Magnetism + Heart Of Clear Water - Yeah... figure it out.

Notes:
Hmmmm... This is a somewhat weird Effect, almost like a built in Kuriboh. The only time you would normally take battle damage from Monster to Monster contact is overflow damage or Trample Effect overflow damage, so if Amazoness Fighter was attacked she would still be destroyed but you would take no overflow, not all that great unless you combo it with some ticks.

1300 ATK & DEF alone isn't going to get you that far, sure you can team her with Marauding Captain and/or Amazoness Tiger to stop her from being attacked, use Equips or Amazoness Spellcaster to give her a boost here and there, but a good Monster these days shouldn't have to rely on other cards to become playable.

Most likely this girl will only be played in Amazoness Decks, but if you want to try some weird combo idea with her she could work in any deck you want. Personally I don't think her Effect and weak stats make her that playable, but whatever sinks your battleship I guess.

Ratings:
Casual: 3.0
Tourney: 2.5
ArtWork: 2.5 - Well it's not bad artwork, but she does "look" like she would be a strong Monster since she's all buff and that she would have some extreme Effect the way she's glowing, but eh... she's deceiving.
