Mechanicalchaser

The last time the other Staffers reviewed this card, I haven't even started reviewing... ~_^

I'm kinda glad that this card is reprinted so that some more people can have access to it, especially those planning on playing Machine decks.

Last time, it received almost perfect scores from most of the reviewers because we only had MRD then. Now, we have Goblin Attack Force, Bazoo, Gemini Elf, and some others. In terms of just pure strength, Chaser doesn't really cut it anymore. In a Machine Deck though, it's still a must. Limiter Removal was restricted for a reason (not sure why in Japan it was recently unrestricted though).

As you can see, Chaser's use has dropped. Its rating dropped as well.

Rating: 3.5/5
NickWhiz1 Tuesday - Mechanicalchaser

...speaking of which, we're taking another peekie at Chaser today, which has been rereleased as a Super Rare in TP3.

I feel sorry for the people that paid $100+ for their TP1 Chasers, because now you can probably get the TP3 ones for ~$40 :)

This card isn't quite that hot anymore. With the much more abundant availability of Gemini Elf (costs less than EITHER version of Chaser), plus GAF and Bazoo (hell, Zombyra is a threat =/) running amok, this card has lost its 1337n355(eliteness =/). Still works well with Limiter Removal, 3700 is hard to match =/

Score: 3.0 (boring =/)
Lady Poet Mechanical Chaser - a Level 4 card with 1850 attack power and no drawbacks. The strongest Level 4 w/ no drawbacks. hmmmmm. This card is a machine, a very popular (and expensive) type right now. This card was VERY popular back in TP1. But now, there are 2 Major problems with it.

1. It's hard to get. I believe it's the rarest card in TP1, and no one I know has one :(. It was running very expenive for awhile, but the price has gone way down now.
2. It has been topped. With the new release of Labyrinth of Nightmare, Gemini Elf made its big debut.
They are 50 more ATK power and Earth, a good Attribute for everyone right now. They are just a better choice in beatdowns overall.

Mech Still has some use to him, he's just outdated. You can always use Gearfried or Kycoo, cards with decent effects. If you have one and need extra normal monsters, throw a couple of him in ;). Keep an eye out for Gemini Elves, though.
Happy Dueling!

Casual Rating: 4.0
Tourney/Competitive play: 3.5 (as of now)

Tuesday-Mechanical Chaser

This guy doesn't make the cut,
Because Gemini Elf kicks it's butt.
He's not worth the 150 on ebay,
Cuz this monster's been pushed out the way.

Several months ago, this was the card to have. Having 3 in your standard beat down meant MAJOR advantage, because not everyone had them. Being able to take down all the basic 1800s without the aid of an equip made it all the rage. Mechanical Chaser also sold for over one hundred and fifty dollars on ebay, I even saw it go up to two-hundred. The extra fifty attack power meant everything. However, even though Gemini Elf hurt's this guy, Mechanical Chaser still reigns as one of the best no effect cards out there, it's number 2 in my opinion, so his rating now, drops not TOO much from what I would rate it before Gemini Elf's release.

Rating: 4
