CCGChewie Tuesday- Rouge Doll

Rouge Doll? =/ Well he is considered a “standard monster” in my book; meaning he has 1600 ATK power. It goes well with Yami as it is a Spellcaster. Hmmm… It’s Light too. Errrm You really shouldn’t have to play this Doll as Ryu-Kishin Powered, Man-Eating Treasure Chest, and Dragon Zombie are all better candidates, due to the ability to get a Sword of Dark Destruction on them. =/

Rating: 2/5 – 1600 ATK power is the standard, so he makes it in. Still ain’t too great tho…

Correction for yesterday's CotD: Replace the Remove Trap and commentary with Reverse Trap.

Overall Score: 2.0 (I personally don't like this card)
Casual Play: 2.0
Tournament Play: 2.0

I'll keep this one sweet and short.

La Jinn, Neo, Battle Ox, Man-Eating Treasure Chest, Ryu-Kishin Powered.

There's a list of attacking monsters you should put in your deck before Rogue Doll.  All of them except for Neo and Battle Ox get the Sword of Dark Destruction boost that Rogue Doll cries over because she can't have it.  Sure, she gets the Spellcaster bonus from Yami and Book of Secret Arts, but so does Neo, and he has 100 more attack power.  If you can't get access to enough of the above cards, considering they're all starter deck cards, then Rogue Doll is a good backup plan, but don't rely on it to win you too many games.

Combos:

Standard Equipment stuff.

Counters:

Monster removal.

Casual/Tournament Play:
If you can't get enough of the cards listed above to put up a decent offense, throw this gal in.  Otherwise, you have better choices.

Verdict:
I guess I'm just biased against this card.  I never really liked it.  I'll always prefer Man-Eating Treasure Chest/Ryu-Kishin Powered/Dragon Zombie as a 1600 attack monster.

Metal Raiders:
Rogue Doll gets further damaged by this set with Dark Elf and a new 1800 attack monster, Rainbow Fish.  Sure, you can use Black Forest Witch to find the Doll, but you can use that to find any other monster mentioned in this entry, so that doesn't really help.  For future sets, Rogue Doll might be somewhat useful in a Light themed deck, if you can't get enough Neo/Gemini Elf/Dunamis Valkyria.

QUESTION TO PONDER: What would they call Gatorade if it wasn't developed at the University of Florida?

TOMORROW'S CARD: I'll give you a hint.  It's a restricted card, and what do you do if you don't win or lose?  Bah, gave it away =P
