Thursday - Sangan

Not as good as Witch of the Black Forest because of one obvious reason, you can't search for any powerhouse monsters.

Sangan reads, "When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, move 1 monster with an ATK of 1500 or less from your Deck to your hand. Your deck is then shuffled."

But, just like Witch of the Black Forest, it can search for Exodia pieces and weak monsters with strong effects.

If you play two of these along with two Witch of the Black Forest, you can potentially search out four monsters from your deck. This is great for decks based on monster combos or even fusion.

Sangan's stats are pretty weak, but his main purpose is to be killed anyway. It can deal 1000 damage when your in a pinch, though.

You could also always combo Sangan with Catapult Turtle or Cannon Soldier to give you an added bonus.

Rating: 3/5

Witch’s brother is Sangan, our CotD for today. Witch is great but Sangan? Ehhh…

Well, you can search for a defensive monster, effect monster, or exodia. So your choices are pretty limited in terms of decks. Stall and Exodia are the only real choices, as F/S beatdown has a hard time keeping the card count down as it is.

Still, it’s a requirement in an Exodia deck, for the combo I gave you yesterday. Here it is again:
Last Will + Cannon Soldier + Witch + (effect) Cannon Soldier + (activates Last Will) Search Witch/Sangan + (effect Witch) Search Exodia + (Flip) Magician of Faith + Gain Last Will + Last Will  + (effect) Cannon Soldier + (Activate Last Will) Search Sangan/Witch + (effect Witch/Sangan) Search Exodia + (effect) Cannon Soldier + (effect Sangan/Witch) Search Exodia.
That can get you anywhere from two to all five pieces depending on your current field and cards (mainly, how many Last Wills and Magician of Faiths you have).

Rating: 2.5/5 It’s eh at best. Good in some decks, thus the 2.5, but not good enough in others.
