Monster
Reborn - LOB
Hmm isnt this just a lovely card? Any monster in any
discard pile may be reborn with this card. I heard
this card in japan could only revive monsters that
were actually destroyed in battle but for now any
monster in any discard pile may be revived and under
your control. Combo this with card destruction and
you can revive a blue eyes white dragon with ease
and since it is a special summon trap hole wont
work. This card is a must in your deck. Dont leave
it out

Monster Reborn!
YaY! Very fun card. Not as fun Change of Heart, but
still a killer. Which is why it is Restricted.
Taking a monster from the graveyard and placing it
onto the field free of Trap Holes and it doesn’t
even take up a summon for your turn. Just crazy, I
tell ya, crazy.
Like many have said in the Card Destruction CotD,
the best combo is discarding a Blue-Eyes, White
Dragon, Summoned Skull, or Dark Magician, then
Reborning. If you draw it early in the match, you
may need to Reborn a level four monster. If ya do
that, see if you can’t squeeze a Summoned Skull
into your hand. Then, Reborn the level four, then
sacrifice it for the Summoned Skull. Problem with
this tactic is that the Skull is up for Trap Hole-ing.
But you really shouldn’t need it that early or get
it that early.
Rating: 5/5 – Only Downsides are the fact your
opponent can use ‘em. =/

There are
currently no cards in English that can counter
special summons and you can draw any monster from
"either player's" graveyard without paying
tribute! Using this card does not take up your
normal summon for the turn either, making its effect
tremendous. The only reason to not have one in
your deck is because you don't own one yet, but that
excuse is lousy because a monster reborn can be
found in both the Kaiba and Yugi structure decks!!!
This card exhibits several combos as well, most
notably the Card Destruction combination, which I am
sure will be pointed out by the other reviewers.
A less obvious one, special summoning fusions from
your graveyard, is less obvious. When a fusion
monster brought into play is destroyed, it is sent
to the graveyard instead of back to the fusion deck,
allowing it to be returned into play from the
discard without the use of polymerization and the
base monsters! This combo may not be worthwhile with
the fusions we are stuck with at the moment, but
think of the possibilities with future sets.

Hey
all, drzapper here again, bringing you my edition of
the cotd....
Monster Reborn:
Causual Play: 5
Tournament Play: 5
Pros:
-Get a monster from any players discard
-This card is full of combos
-This card can win you games
Cons:
-hm No, cant think of any.
Reasons for pros:
Whoa, this card is da bomb, it can slice, it can
dice, and well it is just sick. Definitly one of the
most broken cards in the game. I mean to get a
monster from any players discard is o_O! Its just
insane. I mean say they have a BeWd in there
discard. Hey, maybe I want to use it. So All I need
to do is monster reborn it. Only a fool, could not
see why this card is so good. Also this card has so
many combos its not even funny. I will explain more
on this in the combos section of my cotD. And
finally need that extra 1800 life points? well use
monster reborn, get lajinn and well you've got the
game. I don't think I need to go into any more
detail, on why this card is so good.
Reasons for cons:
Hm, no cons equals no reasons....=/
Combos:
Well you could always fissure a BEWD, and then use
this card to put the bewd under your control. Or you
could use change of heart, attack with there
summoned skull, and then discard it to bring out
your own summoned skull, and then use monster reborn
to get there summoned skull. Also got a good monster
in your hand? Use card destruction to put it in your
graveyard, and then use monster reborn to get it
back. This card should def. be restricted 1 per
deck. Thats all the combos for now, tune in next
week for another zainy card of the day.
