Hello Pojo Fans,

Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive ends our Crystal Beast look and is the new Fusion Monster of the original Rainbow Overdragon.

You can Fusion Summon this the same way you could Overdragon (Dragon’s Mirror), though it’s Special Summon ability is far easier to come by. You need to have summoned an “Ultimate Crystal” monster and you banish all the requirements from the field/grave to summon this. Summon Overdragon, use its effect(s) then banish it along with your grave Crystal Beasts to summon this. Ultimate Crystal Magic helps get all those Crystal Beasts in the grave and summon this card, as well as yesterday’s card…even though Ultimate Crystal Magic is a Trap and that makes it slow. You don’t need to have seven different Crystal Beast monsters banished to summon this, however, when you have seven different Crystal Beasts banished this card jumps 7000ATK to a mind-blowing 11,000ATK. Even on its own it has 4,000ATK, but making it stronger and doing a one-hit kill is always appreciated, especially if you were to have some protection to benefit it.

If you choose not to battle with Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive, simply tribute it to bounce everything back to the deck and then swarm with your banished Crystal Beasts. A Return from the Different Dimension Life Point-free for Crystal Beasts in monster form, and you’ve set it up already because you need to to summon UCRDO. This is Crystal Abundance but easier to pull off with far greater damage output. You can also as many copies of different Crystal Beasts that you wish, so go nuts with a field full of Pegasus and Tiger.

This monster I would argue is better than yesterdays, as it does not require at any time it to be “Fusion Summoned” for it to be beneficial. It clears the field off being tributed and then offers up swarming for you and is a Quick Effect which gives you disruption at the end of the Battle Phase on your opponent’s turn. Summon Rainbow Dragon any way you can and then go for this card. If you can protect Future Fusion to flood your grave with your Crystal Beasts, do that as well.

The week ends off with an even bigger Fusion version of Rainbow Dragon: Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive.

Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive is a Level 12 LIGHT Dragon Fusion with 4000 ATK and 0 DEF, so literally the same as yesterday. Fusion Materials are any Ultimate Crystal monster alongisde 7 Crystal Beast monsters, and it must be Special Summoned during a Duel where you Special Summoned an Ultimate Crystal monster by banishing the above materials from your field and/or graveyard, which really isn’t all that difficult to do at all. While you have 7 or more Crystal Beast monsters with different names banished, this gains 7000 ATK, giving you a gigantic 11000 ATK body to guarantee a win most of the time with a single attack. If this card has yet to battle this turn, you get a Quick Effect to tribute this card to shuffle as many cards on the field into the Deck as possible and then you get to summon any number of your banished Crystal Beast monsters back to your field, so if your opponent was playing defensive, you can just clear the board for some Crystal Beasts to land direct attacks, which should be easy to get game with considering Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragon exists with its 3000 ATK and some other Crystal Beasts like Sapphire Pegasus, Amber Mammoth, and Topaz Tiger have decent ATK. This feels like an extremely grand boss monster for Crystal Beasts with its field clearing ability and power to reach 11000 ATK with the greatest of ease. If you are running all 7 different Crystal Beasts, or 8 now actually, alongside some Rainbow Dragons, you might as well run this for a finisher in your arsenal.

Art: 4.5/5 It’s basically Rainbow Dragon, the cooler Rainbow Dragon, and the coolest Rainbow Dragon being this one.

We close the week with Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive.  Most of this card is eerily similar to yesterday.  Type, Attribute, atk/def, with a more ridiculous Fusion requirement; needing 7 Crystal Beasts and an Ultimate Crystal Monster.  Does still contain the alternate Summon condition we saw yesterday, which I feel is a plus.  So has to come out from your Extra Deck AFTER you all ready Summoned an Ultimate Crystal Monster.  I don’t like that either, as this guy isn’t powerful enough Effect wise to begin with to justify making his Summon more difficult.  Plus, the Material are removed from play, which will/does play into his Effect, but still…I’m not happy about it.  I do appreciate you can use your Field as well as the Grave, however.  If you have 7 or more Crystal Beasts, whom are differently named, this guy gains 7000 atk.  So the 11,000 attack is colossal.  but this card doesn’t have protection AND has 0 defense.  That’s just craziness to me.  Another Effect lets you Tribute this card to return as many cards as possible to their Decks, and if successful, you get to Special Summon then as many of your removed Crystal Beast.  Note, this is only as long as Overdrive hasn’t attacked this Turn.  This is a Quick Effect, so that’s fun, and the giant bonce here is quite awesome.  There’s certainly some potential here, and I think it’s a fun, semi-viable threat.

Art:  5/5  The Dragon here certainly seems to be floating around like he knows he’s the boss here.  Large and in charge.
