“. . . Maybe.”

I can’t believe it’s taken us 17 years to get a conventional Ninja lord. Late is, though, better than never, and Silver-Fur Master is a powerful lord to boot. Ninjas already tend to be efficient when you’re putting them into play for their ninjutsu cost, such that reducing it even further can result in major blowouts – think of multiple Throat Slitters in one turn. He can be uncounterable himself, with the right setup, and boosting your Ninjas and Rogues’ power will help when the opposing heavy hitters start coming out. Speaking of Rogues, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a Rogue tribal deck without Ninjas: they have more members than Ninjas, but tend to be worse in combat.

A bit of “inevitable” Ninja tribal support, Silver-Fur Master is good at being able to help cheat on your ninjutsu abilities while buffing tribes that tend to be low and to the ground in Ninjas and Rogues. While the ninjutsu on Silver-Fur Master isn’t a huge benefit, it does let you duck around counter magic rather nicely and complicate combat math on your turn, turning what looked like a minor nuisance into a massive, debilitating hit in one turn. He’s certainly not flashy, but he’ll get the job done for Ninjas all the same.

Constructed: 3.75
Casual: 4.25
Limited: 4 (I think Ninjas are more than viable as a deck here, and there are even a few Rogues to help out)
Multiplayer: 3.5
Commander [EDH]: 4

Standard utility creature for ninja tribal that makes ninjutsu cheaper with a lord ability to add to it.  Cheap casting and cheap ninjustu cost, you’re likely not going to want to attack with this continuously in order to protect it’s abilities.  Not much else to say about it…your run of the mill ninja “lord”.

Casual: 3/5
Limited: 3/5
Multiplayer: 3/5
Commander [EDH]: 3.5 (ninjutsu or rogue decks)
