Saheeli is a pretty good argument for brewing artifact decks in any format, but especially in bigger ones where you have access to the full range of support effects in her colors over the years. I imagine she’d play well with Jhoira’s first card from Dominaria, for example. Additionally, she can get to her ultimate more quickly than pretty much every planeswalker I’ve seen of late, and if she does, the game will be over just as fast. Her main downside is her low loyalty, but the payoff can well be worth it. You’re probably running Negate and Deflection effects in a deck of that type anyway, too.

Saheeli’s back for another fun outing of artifact manipulation, and this one might be a bit more dangerous than some, thanks to the looming risk of her ultimate the turn after she drops. While planeswalkers are rarely worth evaluating along that axis, Saheeli is a slight exception because of how quickly hers can go off, and a permanent cost reduction and anthem effect for artifacts is quite nuts, indeed. And even if you don’t want to race for that, she can protect herself and/or thop the crap out of your opponents with Thopters, and she can draw you cards (or just filter through them). She’s not flashy, but she’s actually a very dangerous one, playing well with the themes of the set and cranking up your overall power output spectacularly. The only knock I can see against her is that, while red/blue is an artifact color pair, it’s not one of the artifact color pairs being pushed, so she might be a bit awkward at times…and her loyalty isn’t insurmountable, but if your opponents don’t answer the Filigree Master instantly, they will quickly regret it.
