We finish off our reviews this week with Minefieldriller. Quite the mouth full eh? Not as bad as Anteatereatingant, where do they come up with such original names? Anyways, Minefieldriller is a cool card that can be handy for anyone that uses a field spell based deck. Now, most decks based on using a field spell use the infamous Earthbound Immortals. And the two most famous ones would have to be Aslla Piscu and Chacu Challhua. Piscu comboed with Future Visions wipes out all face up monsters your opponent controls, then they take damage equal to the number of monsters destroyed by this effect x800. That can be a decent amount of damage. Now. I only have a few reasons as to why I say Chacu Challhua is famous. Spirit Burner is an equip spell that allows the monster equipped with it to be changed to defense once a turn. Challhua can attack directly, then be swapped to defense and now the opponent cannot attack at all. Being able to do that every turn, it can be troublesome. But Piscu is more troublesome. Fortune Ladies and Minefieldriller benefit from Future Visions. Future Visions removes any monster normal summoned from play till the owners next turn. Fortune Lady Light special summons a Fortune Lady from the deck when removed from the field by a card effect. Minefieldriller can be destroyed in battle and by card effect and you still gain its effect. Now, there are support cards in Fortune Ladies that will wreck you something fierce, especially since they worth with Piscu. Dimensionhole removes one monster from your field for one turn. Target Light, Minefieldriller or Piscu and you get their abilities. There is also Slip of Fortune. Negate an attack from the opponent and remove the targeted monster from play till your next turn. This doesn't work for Piscu since it cant be attacked but Minefieldriller and Fortune Lady Light are perfect examples of what to remove here. Interdimensional Matter Transporter is very similar to Dimensionhole as well. There are many ways that Minefieldriller benefits in a Future Visions version of Fortune Ladies. In most other decks based on field spells, the only other popular field spells are Black Garden, Ancient Forest and Geartown. Minefieldriller is a decent card to even at least side in any deck based on field spells or just uses field spells.
