Fortune Lady Wind

This is one fo the highly anticipated "Fortune Lady" cards that has all of the Loli fans, well drooling. This is one of the good ones. She is a level 3 WIND Spellcaster with ? ATK and DEF. These are not such good stats, but Spellcaster helps out a lot as there is a lot fo Spellcaster stuff like Magician's Circle that can bring her out.

The effect is that her ATK is equal to her level x300 and that during your standbye phase you can increase her level by one. She will not be doing any sort of battling, so her original 900 is not so bad. When she is Normal Summoned, you destroy a number of Spell and Trap cards your opponent controls equal to the number of Fortune Lady monsters you have.

This is a very useful effect, as if she is the only one, you still get to nuke a card. Unlike Breaker, Bottomless Trap Hole does not hit her before she can use her effect, and you can destroy as many as 5 spell and trap cards your opponent controls. Combined with the Fortune Lady Support, you can really do some damage with the massive amounts of advantage that they can create.

Basically, this card might even see play outside of Fortune Lady decks as an alternative to Breaker if Bottomless Trap Hole continues to see so much play. But of course it really shines in a Fortune Lady deck where she can be supported by her sisters and all of their nifty little spells.

Advanced-3/5

Today’s card up for review is Fortune Lady Wind. This card is crazy, and staple in the Fortune deck. The deck can summon like crazy, so why not use this card? I personally like a potential Mystical Space at worst to a Harpies feather duster. I will wait for more Fortune support to really talk about this card and the deck itself. The deck is certainly fun, but I still think it needs some more support. When there is more support, you will certainly run this card no doubt

Fortune Lady Wind …

1 of the 2 best Fortune Ladies. (The other is Earth)
Why? Because they are the 2 “splashable” Fortune Ladies … the only 2 that u can make use of their abilities outside of a Fortune Lady based deck … meaning, they aren’t reliant upon their sisters in order to function. Sure, the other Fortune Ladies ADD to usability of Wind and Earth, but these girls don’t need them.

Wind? – she’s a Mystical Space Typhoon bottled up in a pretty green haired shell. Normal summon. Pop 1 spell or trap card. Easy. Technically – u pop the number of spells/trap equal to the number of Fortune Ladies u control … but she herself counts as 1, so that’s all u really need … Like I said – in a Fortune Lady Deck, u may possibly have MORE than 1 lady on the field when she is summoned, which could be either good or bad, cuz u might then have MORE Fortune Ladies than your opponent has spells/traps, which means u don’t get to pop ANYTHING. Sucks, right? So yeah. Wind by herself is fine.

Her 3 stars x 300 ATK will only give her 900 ATK fighting strength out the box, but whatever … she did her job. She’s almost as good as Lightsworn Lyla in that capacity. Wind helps to clear the way for your special summons or whatever big move u have planned that turned. She’s worth side decking 1 or 2 of, in case u come up against deck where u need the extra added spell/trap destruction.

Hurray, a Fortune Lady, Fortune Lady Wind is quite a good card and an absolute must in any Fortune Lady deck. When its normal summoned, you can destroy any number of Spell and Trap cards your opponent controls equal to the number of face up Fortune Ladies you control. Basically has the effect of Stratos without the searching effect and having lower attack points. Regardless, being able to destroy at least 1 Spell or Trap when Wind is summoned is really good. Not much else can be said about this card. Effect is to the point, short and sweet and is a decent card for the Fortune Lady theme.

Fortune Lady Wind:

Fortune Lady Wind is the s/t removal monster for Fortune Ladies.  You are guaranteed to get at least one card off the field because her effect includes herself, which makes her a viable alternative to breaker outside of fortune lady decks.  It would have been really great if her effect activated when special summoned as well, allowing her to combo from the awesome special summoning that fortune ladies are capable of.  Also, 900 atk isn't going to do much for you, but hopefully when shes drops you are going for a kill or have protection. The low atk does help her get under bottomless (and for that matter, the regular trap hole), and that trap is in almost every deck in twos right now.  If you are running the Ladies, she makes a good choice.
