General Zorpa Shining Silver Force

Here we have the worst card in the entire set. There has not been a burn deck played for at least 3 years that has been mildly successful. We have a Counter Trap that activates when an opponent activates a trap that inflicts damage. You negate the activation of the card and destroy it and all other face-up spell or trap cards your opponent controls.

This is only useful against a Burn deck, so there is no reason to play it as there are no really great burn cards to play, as they would just get integrated into mainstream decks for a quicker win.

This card actually does what it does well, but what it does is so limited and not really useful that it just is of no use to anyone right now.

Lol Pisko Shining Silver Force:
Uhh, lol. The chance of this ever happening is verrrry low. Even if they play a burn trap, they most likely won't have a bunch of faceup Spells and Traps. Even if they do, I'm sure they'll have something like Bribe or Solemn backing them, so it was pointless. This is a waste of a card really.

Shining Silver Force …

If u expect to be playing against a Burn deck, then this card would definitely rock house. So I absolutely endorse siding a couple of these, just to hurt the feelings of anyone thinking they’re gonna “surprise” u at a tournament by winning with Burn. Don’t get me wrong – Winning using something outside of the meta is cute. But being prepared to wipe the floor with someone’s “originality” is even cuter. Take your pick. But make sure to smile either way.

Oh, but don’t u dare main deck this thing. Seriously. Don’t.

Traditional: 1.5/5
Advanced: 2/5 (it’s higher if you’re fighting Burn, but since you won0t be …)

Shining Silver Force, another card we could have used back when Magical Explosion OTK was running around and would be better if it could stop Dark Strike Fighter, am I right? Yeah, im right. Raging Battle has finally been released however, making this card rather obsolete with Spell of Pain being released in Raging Battle. They both have their differences and if you happen to be facing a Blackwing deck or an Alien Deck, this card can somewhat hurt them, as Blackwings often use Black Whirlwind and Aliens often use multiple face-up Spell and Trap cards to abuse Cosmic Fortress Gol'Gar, as well as using cards like Detonator Circle "A" which inflicts damage and is a Trap card.

Not much else to this card, better options now with Spell of Pain released now, it was a card we could of used back when Explosion was a threat.

Umm... When I first heard of this card, I thought it was for any burn damage, and it would destroy all S/T that your opponent had. Imagine my disappointment when I read its actual effect. This is basically a S/T version of Mirror force. No, more like dark mirror force, because its effect is so situational. If I used a burn deck, I cant imagine using more than 3 traps that inflict damage, and at most 2 s/t face up. I can only see this in a side deck, and would rather use some other jank card like Lifeforce harmonizer or Hwaneta. Burn decks use more monsters/spells to inflict damage than traps. I've been seeing much burn hate lately, which is odd since I think that they might do well against blackwings, and they are definitely NOT the meta, not even close.

Traditional-1/5 All those crazy burn FTK cards are not traps, so sorry
Advanced-1.01/5 Burn is dead, and even if it does come back, this will not do much against them.
Art-2.5/5 Basically a undecipherable Radiant Mirror Force.

I'd be a massive fan of this card if it wasn't for one little detail. That the damage inflicting card must be a trap card :/

You know, not that long ago this would be an amazing side deck card. Burn decks did actually run Just Desserts and Secret Barrel on top of Ceasefire and Magic Cylinders, therefore giving you a lot of traps that trigger Shining Silver Force. Your chances against burn would have suddenly jumped up, as you punish them for simply playing their deck, blowing away their Swords of Revealing Light, Gravity Bind or Level Limit – Area B.

But now? Burn simply doesn't run that many damaging traps outside of Magic Cylinder or Ceasefire. No, you're more likely to run into Skill Drain, Royal Oppression, Dark Bribe, anything and everything, bar those things that actually do damage to you. Burn's shifted somewhat, it's moved away from multiple cards to chip away at you, and moved towards PROTECT THE WAVE-MOTIONNNNNN!!!

There's simply very little reason for this card to exist. Don't get me wrong, if you run into an old school burn deck with Just Desserts and Secret Barrel, and you happen to have a couple of these in your side deck, they'll do the job brilliantly. But the amount of times you'll get to use them, it's just not worth finding space to side them.
