Koa'ki Meiru Ice, a Level 4, Water attributed Aqua monster, go figure, who has 1900 attack, and 1200 defense, and a really simple, yet quite useful effect. First, destroy this card during the End Phase unless you discard an "Iron Core of Koa'ki Meiru" or reveal one Continuous Magic Card.

For the gold here, by discarding one card from your Hand, you can destroy one Special Summoned monster on the Field, and he has the attack (1900) for a Level 4 to stay on the Field, providing you can keep him there.

General Zorpa Koa'Ki Meiru Ice

Ic eis really what makes the Iron Core deck so darn special. He has an admirable 1900 ATK and 1200 DEF, which is actually average for a Koa'Ki Meiru monster. He is a level 4 WATER Attribute Aqua monster. That reall means very little in the deck he is played in. You cannot even do some tricks with A Legendary Ocean with him. You can use Nightmare Penguin for the boost and returning a card to your opponent's hand, butthat is weak at best.

His effects are that unless you discard an Iron Core of Koa'Ki Meiru or reveal a Continuous Spell card in your hand, he dies. This is pretty standard text on Iron Core monsters. You can discard one card from your hand in order to destroy one Special Summoned monster on the field.

OMG that effect just blew my mind. He is kind of like a more specific Jowgen the Spiritualist with waaaay better stats. One for one trades are great, and people still play Snipe Hunter and that only MIGHT be a one for one on a monster. Since most of the monsters int eh game are Special Summoned, you can really get this guy to pretty much nuke the field as long as you have a hand. He is horrible as a topdeck, but so is the entire Iron Core deck.

All in all a 3 of in an Iron Core deck or a deck that can make use of his discard ability, maybe a Destiny Hero deck? I don't know, all I know is that this guy is solid.

Koa’ki Meiru Ice …

Man, I tell ya … it’s tempting … it really is … u see a monster like this that just SCREAMS to be played … And u start imagining how hard your Koa’ki Meiru deck is gonna rock … but …

Ok, let me get into the nitty gritty … 1900 ATK on a 4 star body? – awesome. Water attribute? – actually not too bad. Water used to be pretty good back in the day, and it’s still fairly ok … I’d place it at maybe 4th behind Earth in quality attributes … but since there are only 6, I guess that’s not TOO great … but still … And then Aqua type? Meh.

Looking at his effect? – well, he’s Koa’ki Meiru, so he0s got the maintenance cost … which is actually one of the tougher ones to fulfill. There aren’t a LOT of continuous spell cards that a person will even WANT to play … much less find a way to fit into a deck with this guy. It’s doable, but this is where he takes a big dip in quality. When u have to start forcing cards u wouldnt otherwise use in a deck to maintain some other monsters, u are either then overloading your deck, or u are taking away space for more useful/valuable resources. It’s what I’ve been saying about the Koa’ki Meiru monsters from the start. Most don’t work as great together as u would think they could. Ice would be cool in a Water deck of some kind that employed a fair amount of continuous spells. In strict Koa’ki Meiru, he’d be lost.

His unique effect? – very awesome. He can wipe out things like DAD and Judgment Dragon, and tons of other things. And the only limit to how many times he can use it is by how many cards ur actually holding … There really isn’t much to say against that. It's great.

The verdict? - Good card with Great effect. Semi-crappy maintenance cost. Doesn’t fit in his name theme. But could be rockin in the right deck.

We look at yet another Koa'ki Meiru monster today, Koa'ki Meiru Ice. Like most Koa'ki Meiru monsters, you send an Iron Core to the graveyard or reveal a certain card type. Koa'ki Meiru Ice reveals Continuous Spells. You can also send 1 card in your hand to the graveyard to destroy a special summoned monster. This is a pretty awesome effect, against Gladiator Beasts, Blackwings and other minor decks like Hopeless Dragon and Zombies. Ice also has a solid 1900 attack, making him able to jump over popular 1800 attack monsters like Elemental Hero Stratos and Gladiator Beast Laquari if it wasn't special summoned, and even if it was you can just use Ice's effect to destroy it. This card is a force that is needed in threes in any Koa'ki Meiru deck.

Koa'ki Meiru Ice:
This card is sort of like a Royal Oppression with a body, just not as good in most occasions. The card and Koa'ki deck in general have potential, I just don't know how they would do against decks like Lightsworn or Blackwing. You're better off just playing Oppression or even Koa'ki Meiru Drago for now.
