General Zorpa Cactus Fighter

1900 ATK and a DEF low enough to be searched out by Botanical Girl are the Highlights of this card. It does work with all of the good Plant support right now, and it does do some really good things with that really high ATK. I prefer to just use it as a beatstick, but many people prefer to use it for it's effect, as it can also make tokens like Black Garden.

Every time he kills a monster, your opponent gets a Token. It is actually kind of meh, as your opponent's field is likely already teeming with tokens. However, in a couple of turns without Black Garden, this card can really save you. It will run down many of the key players in the game as well as setting you up for Pollinosis. A meh Plant card, but they have so much good stuff it is not a bad card in itself.

Todayʼs card is Cactus Fighter. This guy is cool, and who would hate a cactus haha. Anyways, his effect and stats are solid. As I mentioned earlier this week, Plants use Black Garden, so this guys effect can come into use. This guy will help you keep the board clogged up, so I see no use in not using him to be honest. It will really just come down to preference.

We close this week with Cactus Fighter. This beatstick plant can beat some monsters by battle, but when he does they get a token. When a deck is meant to attack, it is best to attack directly and not to attack something that won't reduce your opponent's life points to zero. Gigantic Cephalotus is still stronger than most monsters and plus it gets stronger with each plant sent to the grave. Also with Cactus Fighter, the token that your opponent gets is tributable. When there is a card that replaces something the opponent lost, everyone knows it isn't a good card.

Okey-dokey ... Cactus Fighter ...
I gotta tell ya - I don't love this card ... 1900 ATK on a 4-Star monster is always welcome ... he's that 4-Star muscle for Plants that Spellcasters, Fiends, Beasts, Insects, etc. have enjoyed on their teams for quite a while ... although his defense is a little low ... but u wont be defending with him anyway, so I digress ...
But that being said - He's got that effect that's supposed to make him more valuable than those Vanilla beaters ... but it really really doesnt! ... I know there are a bunch added bonuses these days for Plant Decks putting little seedling things on their opponents field, and then combo-ing with other cards, etc ... but what I liked about Seed of Flame, was that not only did the Token he gives to your opponent have 0 ATK & DEF, but it couldnt be tributed for a Tribute summon. A lot of people still use Cauis, Vanity Fiend, that Light Dragon that negates destruction who's name escapes me right now, and several other things that would grin at having tribute fodder left on the field. For that alone, he bothers me. You generally dont want your opponent to ever have anything on the field - no spells, no traps, and nothing to tribute their next turn. This guy, for all his strength, doesnt eliminate that option if he does manage to run over a monster. And god forbid he's forced to suicide into another 1900 attacker?

Not terrible, but u really don't need him ... not even for a Plant Deck.
