General Zorpa Botanical Lion

This is probably the best Plant card in the game. 1600 ATK and 2000 DEF are hardly enough to break the game on a level 4 monster, although they are very good stats. Plant and Earth do some for the card, but not as much as one might think. Like 90% of YGO, the best part is the effect.

For every Plant monster you control, he gains 300 ATK and DEF. As he is already a Plant monster, he is at 1900 ATK. Get some Black Rose Tokens on the field and he can be up to 3100. The best part is that the ATK he gains is not halved by Black Garden, so he can still manage to take down some of the big boys with his ATK.

The second effect is nice, but not necessarily necessary. He cannot switch controllers. This is useful against Mind Control, Brain Control and Mark of the Rose. As I said it is not necessary, but a nice insurance policy against a frisky opponent.

There is not much else to say. He is a big beatstick and will pretty much be a 3 of in most Plant decks now and in the future.

Botanical Lion ... he's a good card, ladies and gentlemen!
Seriously - this one's an easy one. He's 4 stars, meaning he can be normal summoned with no issues or tributes. Always a good thing. Earth attribute - also good ... possibly a close 3rd best attribute behind Light & Dark right now. Plant type - a very good type to be these days with all the support Plants have gotten as of late. 2000 DEF - awesome. 1600 ATK ... meh ... it's not too bad, but when u get to his effect - its a non-issue. U see - Botanical Lion gets a boost of 300 ATK for every Plant type monster u control. He HIMSELF is a Plant type, so he already really comes out the gate swinging with 1900.

All he is is muscle for the Plant deck, as he doesnt have any other fancy tricks to him. Just keeps getting stronger, the more plants u have under your control. And with the swarming ability of Plants now, it should be fairly easy to cut this guy loose and let him go nuts on your opponent.

Dark Paladin Tuesday

My review for today is late, and I apologize...but I have mid-terms for college this week (my last ones as I graduate in the Spring!) and it's eating up a lot of my time...

Botanical Lion is quite a nice Plant monster, who is Level 4 and an Earth monster with a respectable 1600 attack and a solid 2000 defense.
Now first, our Lion gains 300 attack and defense for every Plant monster you control.

So, he powers himself up, giving you a Level 4 monster with 1900 attack, which is impressive and 2300 defense, which is even better than the previous 2000. Black Garden can help you power this monster up, and it's a very reliable beatstick for Plant players.

Furthermore, control of this card cannot switch. I mean, it's a nice little bit of added protection, so it's one less thing for you to worry about I suppose. Enjoy him.
