Dark Paladin

Wednesday

Djinn, Presider of Rituals, similar to yesterdays card. Today we have a Level 4 Dark attributed Fiend with 1800 attack and 1400 defense, who can also be removed from the Graveyard to count toward a Ritual Summon.

Now, the bonus for your Ritual today using this card is that when the Ritual monster destroys a monster, you get to Draw a card. Not bad, but it's not quite as powerful as yesterday's card. It doesn't really add a bonus or incentive strong enough to warrant playing.

Djinn Presider of Rituals. Not as good as Releaser of Rituals. But has a solid attack and an ok defense. 1800 attack, 1400 defense. When its used as a ritual material(like Releaser of Rituals), the monster ritual summoned allows you to draw 1 card every time it destroys a monster in battle. This is an ok effect but somehow I doubt it'd really benefit a ritual deck all that much. Both of the Djinn monsters are dark attributed, and there are plenty of other dark ritual monsters. Allure of Darkness can be the main draw card for your ritual deck assuming its mostly dark monsters. As I said before, Presider is not as good as Releaser.

Djinn Presider of Rituals:

This card is not quite as good as the Releaser (yesterday's card).  While it does have an up-to-par 1800 atk, and it is a level 4/dark, the draw effect it adds to the ritual monster is infinitely inferior to the anti-summoning effect of the Releaser.  Obviously these two were released to work together for Northwemko (level 7, how convenient), but they add power to any ritual deck to be sure.  Sorry so short but I feel I covered most of what these cards are about with the Releaser's review.

Djinn Presider of Rituals …

The brother companion of yesterday’s card, and I’d say ALMOST as good … A Dark Fiend, like his sister, Djinn POR can also be removed from the graveyard for the purpose of Ritual Summons. And when he is used for this, the Ritual monster gains an effect. This time – whenever the Ritual monster destroys a monster in battle – u get to draw a card. Drawing cards outside your draw phase is an excellent thing. Almost every Yu-gi-oh player wants this happening in one form or another … either for yourself to speed up access to your resources, or for your opponent to push them to deck out … Either way – drawing is key in Yu-gi-oh. And when the effect is attached to a monster, it is even better. It’s why a relatively weak tribute monster like Airknight Parshath was so popular in his day. So although Djinn ROR’s (yesterday’s card) effect of cancelling an opponent’s special summon may be slightly better, Djinn POR’s effect is pretty good too.

Also, Djinn POR has arguably better stats than ROR … Depending on how u look at it. The Presider has 4 stars and a muscular 1800 ATK, so it is well capable of being battle useful before ever even getting to its effect. Should it then be destroyed and sent to the graveyard? – No biggie. U still get mileage out of him when the time is right. The argument for the Releaser having better stats is that she is much more searchable, so easier to get to the field without necessarily having to be drawn and then normal summoned.

So yeah – this card is just about as good as yesterdays … Giving a lot of strong support to a Ritual based deck … a deck that ain’t great … but definitely benefits from said support.
