Dark Paladin
Friday

Morphtronic Accelerator closes the week, and it is arguably the best support card the Morphtronic Deck has going for them. The effect is simple.

You return one Morphtronic card from your Hand to your Deck, and you are able to destroy one card on the Field. Furthermore, you get to Draw one card from your Deck.

The review is short, because it doesn't do much, but what it does, it does well. If you're playing Morphtronic, you are playing this card, end of story.

Ratings:

It's nearly perfect in it's Deck, and useless elsewhere :)

General Zorpa Morphtronic Accelerator

This is the BEST Morphtronic card bt far, and may be the best piece of themed removal in the roygame at this point. You send a Morphtronic back to your deck, and you destroy a card on teh field as well as draw a card. This makes it far superior to cards like Trade-In or Hand Destruction in many decks as it not only reorganizes your deck for another go-round, you destroy an opponent's card too.

As it stands right now, Morphtronics are one of the worst subtypes in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but they might see some play when combined with other strategies like Batterymen or possibly even Psychic cards. Obviously you can only use this in a Morphtronic deck, but maybe it can pull it's weight in a deck that uses Morphtronic Radion and Celfon.

We close the week with Morphtronic Accelerator. Return a Morphtronic monster draw one card and destroy one card on the field. This would be good if you have plenty of monster in hand. Its another themed do something with a monster and destroy and/or draw card just like Icarus Attack Fish Depth Charge. This is just like FDC, but its a spell and it returns it to you deck. You can play it on your first turn, but since most people use the graveyard, it would have been better to discard it to the grave. The support for the Morphtronics are better than the monsters themselves, but still pretty crappy overall.

Anteaus Morphtronic Accelerator

This card could give the Morphtronic decks a reason to be played. It's an amazing piece of removal, and the ability to not only put an unwanted card back in your deck, but then to draw another card (I guess...it'd be a 2-for-2, so not bad overall) is just insane. It's a great way to get to some of the cards you may need, and in multiples this card is amazing. I could definitely see Morphtronic decks being played in a lot more local tournaments with this card in its arsenal.

Traditional: 2/5 (Morph build)
Advanced: 4/5 (Morph build)
