ExMinion OfDarkness
Fiber Jar

Not much to say here.

Well, this would be a pretty good Christmas tree -- presents under it for everyone, hassle-free returns (HEH, yeah right)...

It's banned for a reason. Fiber Jar flipping once in and of itself wouldn't be so horrible even if it was a huge swing in advantage. It flipping 20 times in one Duel...

The thing's banned for a reason.

Broken/5 (5/5 where it's legal, obv.)

Coin Flip
Well, this week was supposed to be Christmas themed, but since noone wrote ANYTHING on the calendar we use for CotD's, I just plopped this week of cards down. Note that I don't intend to turn in CotDs for the past two weeks. There were two cards worth reviewing and plenty has been said about those two already... Hydrogeddon and Pot of Avarice, if you're curious. So for the second year in a row, I select the last
5 cards of the year.

One of the many rituals of Christmas is the tree. YGO! features two cards with a tree as the focus of their art (that count, anyway.
While there are some tree monsters, they're more like treants or ents than they are like actual trees). This is one of them. The other is Gaia Power. This one is more fitting. After a long period of expectation and tenseness, you and everyone else get a tree with presents under it. Five of them, actually.

Sadly, this tree is banned, but that's because YGO! is a secular card game. Jainism had their card banned (Harpies Feather Duster) too.
And anyone who catches that reference is a SAD individual. Or an educated one. The difference isn't much these days, sadly.

The tree is an important part of Christmas and of YGO! People who remember the days where you could actually play a deck based upon recycling cards with Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree (Chaosrider Gustav was featured in that one...) will also remember losing four card advantage to this BEAST of a monster. That said, I miss this guy a lot.

Until then, remember; Buddha loves you and Jesus saves. You need answers for your dismay? Ask yourself, ask your mom… Ask DNA!!

I hope you had nice Christmas presents, and if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you don't feel too alienated. Pish, what am I saying, you're used to it just from watching TV. Have a great 5 days until the end of the year, and may your next year be filled with even more joy than this one.

This card is banned, but it receives a 4.6/5 in Traditional.

Dark Paladin
Fiber Jar is our card for today, and I think simply for the fact that it looks like a mechanical futuristic type of Christmas tree, and on that note I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

Those of you who play traditional format know this card is good, and you need to use the copy you're allowed. You don't need me to tell you that.

Ratings:

Traditional: 4.5/5
Advanced: Banned/5

Overall Rating: 2.5/5
Art: 4.5/5

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
