Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Harpie Lady

Card Number - MRD-008

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst.  3 ... average.
5 is the highest rating

Date Reviewed - 10.17.02

NickWhiz1

Are we doing Harpie Lady or Harpie Lady Sisters?  Doesn't matter, because I can cover both in one CotD.

Anyways, the ONLY reason you should ever play Harpie Lady is to make a deck based around it (i.e. Elegant Egotist, etc.).  Harpie Lady Sisters is 1950 attack power for Level 6, nothing spectacular, although that defense lets it abuse Shield & Sword, to an extent :/

Score: 2.1 (do you want an overpowering army of 1300 ATK power digitally-painted flying

I just saw Mi use this card and Yugi kicked her butt so it has to suck, right?

No - it sucks for so many other reasons. :)

It's required to get to Harpie Lady Sisters, but eh - do you really want to?  Seems like a lot more trouble than it's worth.  Not my first pick, that's for sure.

Rating : 2.5

Melkor

Yeah, I forgot the rating yesterday. I give Painful Choice a 2.9. It's not great as of now. Anyway, onto today's. As I'm not sure if it's Harpy Lady, Harpy Lady Sisters, or the whole Harpy Lady set, I'll review them all at once.

Harpy Lady as a set is basically simply for fun (until the upgraded Harpy Lady [Harpy Lady SB] is released). It can be fun to get Harpy Lady Sisters out turn 2, but it isn't gamebreaking or practical. It is a very fun deck to play with. Try to balance the deck out with strong level 4's to turn to when your HL's are useless in your hand with Elegant Egotist.

My rating for the set as a whole is a 2.5. It's not tournament-worthy by any means, but, it's fun and deserves something. If it really is the Harpy Lady by itself, 1.4 is the rating.

Yonex Harpy Lady -- Thursday

Introduction: Bwhahahah, here comes Harpy Lady Sisters on Turn 1.

Wind
[Winged-Beast]
Level 4
1300/1400

Why should you use it?
*Brings out Harpy Lady Sisters
*Immune to Messenger of Peace

Why shouldn't you use it?
*Low attack stats
*No effect

Reasons: Today's we're looking at one of Mai's card, Harpy Lady. This card
alone has nothing, but is probably 90 percent of the time used in some kind
of combo with Elegant Egotist. This card is required to bring out Harpy Lady
Sisters. Which isn't really that bad, since you just need Harpy Lady and
Elegant Egotist and you can have a pretty good deck. Also since this card is
immunte, to the ever favorite Messenger of Peace, you can use Messenger of
Peace with this card to keep it alive and attack like crazy. Though one
reason why this card isn't used, is because it has poor stats which has no
reason in most decks. Also since you have a poor stat, you need to make it
up by having a killer effect, which this card doesn't even have.

Rating: Harpy Lady combo does have potential, but will not see play at all.
This card would get a 2.5. It has  somewhat potential to be dangerous, but
really hard to play a Harpy Lady deck, even though you want to try to be
like Mai.

Conclusion: This card will fly higher than it has ever flown, and probably
won't comeback in time to be in your deck.

wartortle32 thursday - Harpy lady

I'm going to keep this short as I don't have much
time.  Today we look at Mai's favorite card, harpy
lady.  There isn't much use for this card other than
combining it withelegant egotist to create the harpy
lady sisters.  But even that isn't really worth
playing in your deck because HLS' attack points are
worth it.

I give this card 2/5.  In my opinion, dont play this
card, unless you're using a fun deck.
