White Aura Whale

White Aura Whale is a fantastic monster and might just be the best Fish type in the game. With four distinct and useful effects, how can you possibly go wrong? If Kaijus didn’t exist, I would probably guess an entire deck could be developed around White Aura Whale and be extremely difficult to deal with.

But that can be said about a lot of monsters. The point is White Aura Whale is an instant staple in water decks that run any kind of tuner. From Mermail/Abyss decks to Crystron to pure Fish, there’s no reason not to run this bad boy, and usually it should be your main focus. Mermail/Abyss decks have always been on the cusp of tier 1, and White Aura Whale gives it an uppercut to the face to add to its repertoire. With a slew of tuner options in Sea Monster of Theseus, Fishborg Launcher, and Deep Sea Diva, there are a ton of ways to summon him. Unless you really need Brionac or some other option in a pinch, White Aura Whale should now be the focus, especially post-link. He’s that good.

And that’s not mentioning his future potential, which is off the charts. He’s so generic and yet so solid. He deals with threats in an instant and none of his four effects are once per turn. Use them over and over if you’re able to. He can win you an entire duel in a single turn without breaking a sweat. White Aura Whale is one of the best synchro monsters ever released, easily in the same class as beasts like Crystal Wing, Brionac and Trishula. If you run waters, you need to try and summon White Aura Whale. That’s all there is to it.

Baneful

Lots of strengths going for it.  Great stats.  Free Lightning Vortex.  Two attacks (like a BLS Envoy).  Game finishing.  And there's piercing too.  If that's not enough, it can also summon itself again just for a banish.  And it's a tuner (so you can use it to make something even bigger).  And it's LV8; a popular level for Synchroing.  This is significant support for WATER monsters.  It has a variety of effects, all of them good.  If it's not a game finisher, it's still a powerhouse that can cut through a setup and get a plus.  Moreover, you don't even need 2 WATER monsters.  You could theoretically use this in a whole deck full of FIRE non-Tuners monsters and 1 WATER Tuner.

5/5 (I'm lenient because of the Ex Minion of Darkness Rule ; Extra Deck cards don't have the draw probability issues of main deck cards ; and this is a staple for all decks that can make it.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Today we are Captain Ahab and going after today's card: White Aura Whale.

WATER-specific Synchro for WATER-based decks like Mermails and perhaps Nekroz. Making  eight for a Synchro Summon isn't hard. Raigeki-effect upon Synchro Summon for any Attack Position monsters your opponent controls can potentially wipe the board. Piercing damage added to this cards arsenal of weapons ensures when your opponent is on the defensive they will still take damage. Turning a Level 8 into a Tuner may not be handy, but resurrecting for the price of one banished WATER monster is very handy. Fishborg Launcher and Deep Sea Diva are the main Tuners to use for this monster. With the new Sea Monster of Theseus, you have access to a Level 5 Tuner and can then use a Level 3 WATER (6 Mermails are Level 3, and 3 Atlantians are).

It's always nice to get new Synchro monsters, and we got a pretty good non-generic Synchro here in White Aura Whale.

White Aura Whale is a Level 8 Synchro requiring 1 WATER Tuner and 1+ WATER non-Tuner, which shouldn't be hard to come across in WATER decks that can Synchro Summon. When Whale is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. Potentially destroying a boss monster your opponent has is very nice, as getting rid of a big threat like that almost guarantees you a win. During the Battle Phase, Whale can attack two monsters, which is great for clearing a board and going for game. This effect gets better because Whale does piercing damage, which will never be bad. If Whale is destroyed and sent to the GY by an opponents card, you can revive Whale by just banishing a WATER monster and Whale comes back as a Tuner. Don't think the Tuner part is too relevant, but the ability to revive yourself is great.

If you are playing a WATER deck that can Synchro Summon, this Whale is for you.
