Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh! Card of the Day
Daily Since 2002!

 C-Crush Wyvern
- #SDKS-EN003

Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 LIGHT Machine-Type monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. A monster equipped with this card is unaffected by your opponent's Trap effects, also if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 Union monster from your hand.

Hello Pojo Fans,

C-Crush Wyvern finishes out the newest Union monsters.

Strong defense isn't a bad thing if this monster ends up in defense mode. Its weaker ATK is balanced out by the support and the fact that it won't be a monster for long. Equip it to a LIGHT Union and instant protection against trap cards. This more times than not will benefit you more than B-Buster Drake as the game has shifted to use less destruction spell cards. Same protection from an attack, but instead of a search you get a Special Summon from your hand. Instant replacement of a resource on the field may be the difference between taking a direct attack or surviving until next turn to turn the tables.

Each of these Union monsters are good in their own way, but only one could be theoretically used outside the archetype (A-Assault Core).

C Crush Wyrven is the weakest of the new trio at 1200 attack though has 2000 defense.  All the Union norm holds true here.  But this time when equipped to a Monster, it becomes immune to your opponent's Traps.  And when sent from the Field to the Graveyard you get a new Union Monster from your Hand, as opposed to the Deck, like yesterday.  It is the least impressive of the three, but still an upgrade over Z.

So C-Crush Wyvern has decent defense of 2000 and gives the equipped monster Trap effect immunity. Then it floats in the grave to Special Summon a a Union Monster from the hand. Since the other 2 letters keep putting Union Monsters in the hand, this effect has a great recover ability. Honestly A B and C are just a means to an end. C-Crush Wyvern is a little weak with 1200 Atk, but it will do.
