Chicken Game

A really interesting cleverly designed card.  This card is probably going to find its way to the Limited list soon.  It fuels a relatively consistent Life Equalizer/Magical Explosion FTK (with Royal Magical Library and Bamboo Sword cards).  Of course, there's life point loss, but it can speed up your deck since you can use 3 of them at the same time.  The opponent can, of course, abuse the draw power, so you need a way to get rid of it.  Blackwing Zephyros could work for that.  There's plenty of potential here.

Hello Pojo Fans,

One of the more hyped cards to come out of the latest series, Chicken Game has spawned decks revolving around the card, as well as given other decks not in the Tier 1 a boost.

A Field Spell that benefits both players isn't a card you want to usually use, but if you can benefit more from using it that your opponent can, then it becomes an option. 9 out of 10 times you will choose to activate the first option and pay the 1000LP to draw a card. In the late game this card's ability to protect the player with the lowest LP from damage will force whoever has the higher LP to use a resource to get rid of Chicken Game. Paying 1000LP to have your opponent gain 1000LP is the least likely effect to use, unless in a situation late game where a player may be desperate to stall and wish to benefit from the protection effect of this card.

Chicken Game decks want to fill the grave with spells, then Life Equalizer + Magical Explosion to win the game. Exodia decks get another draw option along with some potential protection (especially if their strategy involves Hope For Escape). Regular decks could tech this card in, but unless you destroy it the same turn you activate it your opponent will be using it next turn and will net a +1. Upstart Goblin is a better choice for regular decks, but there are decks that will benefit from this card, even if it stays on the field for several turns and your opponent can benefit as well.

Chicken Game. This card is annoying. Chicken Game is a Field Spell Card that works for both you and your opponent. With the new rulings, can two of these be played on either side of the field at the same time?

Anyway, the first effect is that the player with the lower Life Points takes no damage. The first thing I think of is Performage Trick Clown Special Summoning a Performage from the Graveyard for free. The second effect is complicated. The turn player can Main Phase activate an effect by paying 1000 Life points. Those effects are to draw 1 card, destroy Chicken Game, or have your opponent gain 1000 Life Points. Then, that activation cannot be chained to. It would be nice to draw 1 card without any fear of retaliation. I believe this card delays the game. Also, cards that give your opponent advantage bother me. However, if your objective is to draw cards, then this card delivers that and some defense.

Score: 3.5/5 Versatility is good.

Art: 3/5 The name Chicken Race made more sense. I don't know why they didn't keep it.

Hey, whats going on everyone? So we have Chicken Game today. This card, when I first read it when it was announced before it came out, I was like yeah I like this card. It doesn't seem to crazy. But then bam. Most FTK/OTKs use this card. Now im not saying its this card its really Royal Magaical Library. (Ban please lol)

Back to Chicken Game, this card is descent, draw, protection card. Its got to much bad crap because of the use with RML. The 1000 life points you lose to draw from this card seems really fair.

Rate 4/5 Cause who doesnt like free cards.
