Goyo Predator is a far cry better than the Chaser we looked at yesterday.  But how good does that make Predator?  Let's take a look.  Earth, Warrior, Level 6, a standard good 2400 attack here (with a not so good 1200 defense) and Synchro Summoned with a Tuner and one or more non-Tuner Monsters.  Honestly, this guy isn't bad at all for a generic, splashable Level 6 Synchro.  Like yesterday, when it destroys and sends an opponent's Monster to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon it to your side of the Field.  Said effect can only be used once a turn, so if for some way, you destroy more than one Monster in a turn with this guy, you can only Special Summon one.  But as opposed to that Monster having its attack halved, the Battle Damage inflicted by that Monster is halved.  That's actually fine.  You can take out some useful and powerful stuff with this guy having 2400 attack.  I wouldn't fault anybody for playing this.

Same issue as Chaser.  Goyo Guardian already exists, and while it's a solid Rank-6, it's barely having an impact on the meta.  It's a step up from Chaser with 500 more ATK and a restriction that lessens the damage instead of the damage and the snatched monster's ATK strength.  In that sense, you get a 2nd attack (whereas Guardian doesn't give you that option).  I still don't think this card is necessary, though.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Goyo Predator isn't going to be getting much love either, just like yesterday's CoTD. With weaker ATK and the same Level as Goyo Guardian, being able to Special Summon in attack mode the monster this card destroys and sends to the graveyard can't make it an equal. Any battle damage a monster Special Summoned by this card does to your opponent is halved.

While doing life point damage isn't always the most pressing concern, I don't know why you would choose this monster over Goyo Guardian when Synchro Summoning a Level 6 unless you were going to have a clear attack on your opponents life points, but even then the damage is halved. You don't want to be decreasing battle damage. This card is better than yesterday's, but once again you can't compete with Goyo Guardian. Predator lacks the ability to climb over bigger boss monsters, let alone Rank 4's that can get equal or over 2400ATK.

Advanced-2.5/5- Some potential with the ATK mode Special Summon, but still not as good as original.

So now we have this. Goyo Predator is a generic Level 6 Earth Warrior-type Synchro Monster with 2400 Atk and 1200 Def. This has the same stats as yesterday's card, but with more Atk and Def and one level higher. It also has similar stats to Goyo Guardian, but the original is still better because it is more likely to kill things in battle to apply the effect.

Goyo Predator only has one effect that can only be used once per turn (unlike the other two Goyo's). If he destroys an opponent's monster by battle and it hits the grave you can Special Summon it to your side in any position but the battle damage it inflicts is halved. I don't think we needed this Goyo either, but it's better than the last one.
