Deck Fix: XYZ Dragon Cannon

July 15, 2005

Hey readers! Back again for my last fix of the week. Also, I strongly encourage you find my topic in the Forums titled "WiCkEd's Request to YOU!", post there. Anyways, about the deck...its a XYZ Dragon Cannon deck, obviously, hence the title and my need to repeat things. Onto the fix! Enough of my babbling!

Hey Josh, Im C.J. from Puerto Rico. Im having some problems with my machine deck, since it is not my main deck, its just for fun and I don't have some of the staple monsters to use in this one. I hope you can help me with it by making it more faster and powerfull.

Deck list: (Advance Gameplay) 40 cards

Monsters: 18

Tributes: 4

Ancient Gear Golem

Fusilier Dragon, The Dual-Mode Beast ( I don't count this one as a tribute)

Blowback Dragon

Jinzo

Y- Dragon Head x2

Z- Metal Tank x2

Shining Angel x2

Gear Golem The Moving Fortress

Magician of Faith

Gatling Dragon

XZ- Tank Cannon x2

XY-Dragon Cannon x2

YZ- Tank Dragon x2

XYZ- Dragon Cannon x2

Note: No BLS-EotB please, and no Reflect Bounder, hate both.

next time I will send you my fiend deck, until then...Thanks for your time...

Alas! C.J. I understand your contempt for BLS-Envoy, but Reflect Bounder? You suprise me.

-1 Ancient Gear Golem

+1 Fusilier Dragon the Dual-Mode Beast

Reasoning: Ancient Gear Golem in his own deck is good, yes. But in the common Machine/XYZ deck, he's just junk. We're dropping him for another Fusilier Dragon, which are an overall amazing card. Morphable, and easily summonable yeah, it's that  cool.

-1 Gear Golem of the Moving Fortress

-1 Spirit Reaper

+1 Magician of Faith

+1 Tribe-Infecting Virus/Breaker the Magical Warrior

Reasoning: Gear Golem is slow, outside his F(O)TK deck, a good defender though. I also dropped a Spirit Reaper who is also good but can be replaced with better things. Adding another Magician of Faith adds to more uses of Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity and Delinquent Duo, which is very good on your side. I also understand you can't get all of the monster budget cards, so I decided to recommend 2 of them, both of which would help your deck greatly. For instance, TIV is added removal, and Breaker is MST, a godly topdeck, and a beatstick all in one. I'd recomment trying to find 1 or the 2, or both.

Onto Magics and Traps!

-1 Creature Swap

+1 Delinquent Duo

Reasoning: Scapegoats are usually chained to Creature Swap, which makes the card a bad tradeoff most of the time. Adding in Delinquent Duo is an insane advantage, 2 for 1 and taking out potential threats is awesome in this game. Delinquent Duo also completes the Trinity in your deck, another good thing. Run it, no questions asked.

-1 Level Conversion Lab

-2 Waboku

+1 Nobleman of Crossout

+1 Mystik Wok

+1 Limiter Removal

Reasoning: Level Conversion Lab is a VERY bad card in my opinion. If you don't believe me, look at the Card of the Day on it, those percentages aren't grand, ditching it is vital. Waboku is a good card no doubt, but side them, they really aren't needed since Machine decks are quick killers. Another Crossout eases away the pain of Flip effects or various other threats. Mystik Wok, I know, is technically a -1 advantage, but, after you Limiter some two or three times, why not just gain the heaping amount of ATK as Lifepoints? Another Limiter is self explainitory for the quick kill.

Fixes done, here's the final copy:

2 x Fusilier Dragon, The Dual-Mode Beast

1 x Jinzo

1 x Blowback Dragon

1 x Breaker the Magical Warrior/Tribe-Infecting Virus

1 x Sangan

1 x Spirit Reaper

3 x X-Head Cannon

2 x Y-Dragon Head

2 x Z-Metal Tank

2 x Shining Angel

1 x Delinquent Duo

1 x Pot of Greed

1 x Graceful Charity

2 x Nobleman of Crossout

1 x Mystik Wok OR Mirror Force

3 x Limiter Removal

1 x Mystical Space Typhoon

1 x Snatch Steal

1 x Heavy Storm

2 x Scapegoat
