Flying High Again:
How To Construct an E-Hero Deck

July 12, 2005

Alright guys, this article is a bit overdue. I had been how does one say it? Grounded. Anyways, onto the idea of the article! So, I’m teaching you how to construct an Elemental (E-Hero) deck, this is probably going to be the more casual form the deck can get, and also remember this: E-Heros are VERY tricky to play. Also, I am using some Japanese cards from CRV that support the Heroes and note the translations ARE NOT CONFIRMED. Therefor, they are subject to change, and should they be changed, I assume you as the smart player will know how to modify the deck. With that said, let’s go unto some of the cards we’ll be using.

TLM-EN001 Elemental Hero Avian
Wind/Warrior/3/1000/1000
"A winged Elemental Hero who wheels through the sky and manipulates the wind. His signature move, Featherbreak, gives villainy a blow from sky-high."

TLM-EN002 Elemental Hero Busttinatrix
Fire/Warrior/3/1200/800
"A flame manipulator who is the only woman among the Elemental Heroes. Her Burstfire burns away villainy."

TLM-EN003 Elemental Hero Clayman
Earth/Warrior/4/800/2000
"An Elemental Hero with a clay body built-to-last. He'll preserve his Elemental Hero colleagues at any cost."

TLM-EN004 Elemental Hero Sparkman
Light/Warrior/4/1600/1400
"An Elemental Hero and a warrior of light who proficiently wields many kinds of armaments. His Shining Surge Flash cuts off the path of villainy."

TLM-EN036 Elemental Hero Thunder Giant
Fusion - Light/Warrior/6/2400/1500
"Elemental Hero Sparkman" + "Elemental Hero Clayman"
Effect: This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. Discard 1 card from your hand to select and destroy 1 face-up monster on the field with an original ATK that is less than the ATK of this card. You can only use this effect once per turn, during your Main Phase.

TLM-EN049 Hero Signal
Trap/Normal
You can only activate this card when a monster on your side of the field is destroyed as a result of battle. Special Summon 1 monster with "Elemental Hero" in its name from your hand or your Deck.

TLM-EN035 Elemental Hero Flame Wingman
Fusion - Wind/Warrior/6/2100/1200
"Elemental Hero Avian" + "Elemental Hero Burstinatrix"
Effect: This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. When this card destroys a monster and sends it to the Graveyard as a result of battle, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster.

CRV-JP012

Friend Dog

Earth/Machine/3/800/1200

When this card is destroy as a result of battle and would be sent to Graveyard, put a monster

with [E-Hero] in its name and a [Fusion] card from your Graveyard into your hand.

CRV-JP014

E-Hero Bubbleman

Water/Warrior/3/800/1200

If this card is the only card in your hand, you may special summon this card. When this card is

summon, reversed summon, or special summon, if you have no other cards on your field and hand,

you may draw 2 cards from your deck.

CRV-JP037

Power Bond

Magic - Normal

Put Fusion material of a Fusion monsters from hand and/or field into Graveyard, special summon

a Machine sub-type Fusion monster. The attack strength of the monster special summon

would be increase by its original attack strength. At the end of turn this card is activate,

the player who activate this card would receive damages equal to the original attack

strength of the special summoned monster. (This special summon would be treated as Fusion

Summon)

CRV-JP048

Skyscraper

Magic - Field

When monsters with [E-Hero] in its name attack and the attack strength of the attacking monster

is less than the attack strength of the attacking target monster, the attack strength of the

attacking monster is increase by 1000 during Damage Calculation.

Long list, somewhat, but its what we’ll be using. So, as you’ve noticed E-Heros have only 2 main effect monsters that work with them outside the Fusions, which are Friend Dog (Wroughtwieler) and E-Hero(Elemental Hero) Bubble Man. However they do have a Field support card, which is fairly nifty. So with all of that said, here is the Monster line-up:

1 x Airknight Parshath/Jinzo

2 x Elemental Hero Sparkman

2 x Elemental Hero Burstinatrix

2 x Elemental Hero Avain

2 x Elemental Hero Clayman

1 x Elemental Hero Bubbleman

1 x Sangan

1 x Breaker the Magical Warrior

1 x Morphing Jar

1 x Tribe-Infecting Virus

1 x Friend Dog

2 x Command Knight OR Maruading Captain (I frown upon Captain)

Total: 17

So, there is the line-up, I’m sure you could switch it and twist it as you like, but then I’m sure the deck would look all goofed up. Despite the Normal Monsters (Heros themselves), this is a semi-competitive monster build, and in reality, its almost the best the Heros can do. But, despite this, the deck building shall go on! Onto the Magic and Trap line-up.

1 x Pot of Greed

1 x Graceful Charity

1 x Delinquent Duo

1 x Terraforming

1 x Skyscraper

1 x Smashing Ground

1 x Power Bond

2 x Creature Swap (swap away Heros if you don’t want them)/Sub out one for Polymerization

2 x Nobleman of Crossout

1 x Snatch Steal

1 x Heavy Storm

1 x Fusion Gate/ Polymerization

1 x Premature Burial

1 x Scapegoats

1 x Book of Moon

1 x Torrential Tribute

2 x Hero Signal

1 x Mirror Force

1 x Call of the Haunted

1 x Ring of Destruction

Total: 23

So, the line-up for Magics and Traps. The Skyscraper is the obvious power-up for Heros, whilst the Fusion Gate gets out the fusions. You could also vary the deck by using one Creature Swap and drop Fusion Gate for 2 Polymerization. The deck can bend and change to your play style, if you wanted you could somehow add Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning into the mix for some CCCC. Its entirely up to you. This is just the basic, casual build for them, I've playtested it a bit, and it seems to makea very fun casual deck no doubt. Have fun with it guys. HEre's the final copy.
