A Fun Story:
My Own Yugi vs. Joey

            I know I’ve already done an article this week, but I had a funny thing happen today that just couldn’t wait.  It’s not so much an article as a fun story. 
 

            So there was some down time at the office today, and I was hanging around with a deck of regular playing cards.  I was goofing off with someone else where we were trying to guess what card would be pulled (by the way, I was drawing Yugi style, hehe).  My buddy, who has an outrageously thick New York accent, a la Joey, suggested we play a game of Rummy.  Now, I hadn’t played that game in years, and I didn’t really remember how to play.  He gave me a quick tutorial, a.k.a. had me play and beat me in two seconds.  Fun. 
 

            Later, we got to play again.  This time around, I was ready for him.  Then I got to thinking.  I’m not that tall of a guy, and my buddy has a few good inches on me.  Naturally, where did my mind wander to?  Yu-Gi-Oh, of course.  We were having our own Yugi vs. Joey duel.  Well, who am I to be a poor Yugi? 
 

            The next round, I beat him, very quickly.  He was shocked.  The score was 1-1, and we needed a tie-breaker.  Winner take all.  It was a good game, back and forth, back and forth, still nothing.  Then, all of a sudden, I drew my winning card.  Success!  I had the Heart of the Cards, even in a standard deck.  Ta da!  Ok, that’s my story.  There isn’t much of a point, but it was fun.  I’m sure we’ve all got our own stories like that, but I wanted to share mine.  Happy dueling.
