Pojo's Yu-Gi-Oh Card of the Day

Serpentine Princess

Card Number - LOD-057

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale
1 being the worst.  3 ... average.
5 is the highest rating

Date Reviewed - 07.16.03

SomeGuy Wednesday - Serpentine Princess

Water/Reptile/4/1400/2000
Effect: If this monster is returned directly from the field to your deck, special summon 1 level 3 or lower monster from your deck.

Seeing how there are only a couple of cards that return Monsters directly from the Field to the deck, this card is next to useless.

But even if either of those cards were played, which they aren't, Special Summoning a Level 3 or lower Monster isn't all that spectacular.

This card should never, ever see any play at all. It's that pointless.

Rating: 1/5
SandTrap Serpentine Princess
Water/Reptile/4/1400/2000
Effect: If this monster is returned directly from the field to your deck, special summon 1 level 3 or lower monster from your deck.

Um...I can't even think of how to use the effect. Maybe...Fiber Jar? I don't know, but even better, I don't care ;P. Even if there was an easy way to force your opponent to do this, summoning a Level 3 monster isn't much of an effect.

Sometimes I wonder why they even make some cards. Just killing beautiful, evergreen trees... . Ooooh, got 5 bucks for that pro-nature comment.

Kids, don't use this card. Or drugs. Yeah, I got like 10 bucks for that...huk.

Rating: 0/5. This card does not even deserve the # 0. Actually, I'd like to change my rating to a _/5. Nothing. You get no number from me, pal!

*Throws Serpentine Princess into flaming pile of crap cards.* Muahahahahaha!
DuelMonster Wednesday - Serpentine Princess:

LOD-057-Common
Reptile/Water/Effect/4/1400/2000
Effect: If this face-up card is sent directly from the field to your Deck, Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower monster from your Deck.

Naga, the Serpentine Princess, a very hard card to activate and only for limited benefit. Right now I only see 2 ways to activate her effect, the obvious one is Fiber Jar, which will let you clear everything from the field and then let you special summon a level 3 monster for either a clear attack, tribute bait or ever a specific effect monster like Sinister Serpent so you get him started in the sinister chain right off the bat. The second way to activate her effect is with Monster Recovery...nuff said.

This card would be allot more playable if you could special summon the monster face-down so then you could pick a flip-effect monster. Or if you could pick a special summon only monster like Relinquished, and non-special summon monsters like Yata and the other Spirit monsters, but you can't, so that suxx. Since there aren't too many combos with this card it's not really tournament worthy, at least not at the moment.

Best card I'd think to pick:
White Magical Hat
Sinister Serpent
Twin-Headed Behemoth
Banisher Of The Light
Hayabusa Knight
Dream Clown
Sangan
Jowgen

Ratings:
Casual: 1.5
Tourney: 1.0
ArtWork: 4.5 - I really think she's hot with those sharp teeth and big grin, she'd probably eat me though.
