Deck Fix: Granny Gets Geared – Mark

Ancient Gears all carry the same trait or not being countered while they attack. However, just too many Anceint Gears have lots of tributes and can’t be special Summoned. Well, I’m gonna do a Deck fix for them, and I’m skipping straight to the point.

Monsters- 22

2 Ancient Gear Golem

3 Ancient Gear Beast

2 Ancient Gear Engineer

2 Ancient Gear Soldier

2 Legendary Jujitsu Master

3 Giant Rat

1 Injection Fairy Lily

3 Nimble Momonga

1 Breaker the Magical Warrior

1 Sangan

1 Treeborn Frog

1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

Spells- 14

1 Brain Control

1 Heavy Storm

2 Hammer Shot

1 Limiter Removal

1 Mystical Space Typhoon

1 Pot of Avarice

3 Ancient Gear Castle

1 Scapegoat

2 Enemy Controller

1 Smashing ground

Traps- 6

1 Torrential Tribute

3 Sakuretsu Armor

2 Bottom Trap Hole

First, we take care of the monsters. Sadly, this Deck has 42 Cards in it, by the way.

2 Ancient Gear Golem

3 Ancient Gear Beast

2 Ancient Gear Engineer

2 Ancient Gear Soldier

2 Legendary Jujitsu Master

3 Giant Rat

1 Injection Fairy Lily

3 Nimble Momonga

1 Breaker the Magical Warrior

1 Sangan

1 Treeborn Frog

1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

I remember waaay back then. Back when Legendary Jujitsu Master was all the rage. Never did like that cards. Not too long ago, Cyber Dragon was the big splashie. Who’s next? Crystal Seer, of course. I still don’t like Legendary Jujitsu Master. I’ll remove both.

Even for Ancient Gears, running 7 tributes is a lot. Ancient Gear Engineer (has a nice ring) can lose its twin.

Injection Fairy Lily isn’t really helping this deck out. She needs to go bye-bye (thanks to Chazz for that one)  because Ancient Gear decks don’t like losing Points. Plus, she ain’t achine.

Why isn’t this deck using Spirit Reaper!? Any Deck wants him, and Tribute decks want him even more! WHY DON’T YOU USE HIM! USE HIM! And take out all 3 Giant Rats, too.

Also, the three Nimble Momonga cards can go. I know they work for Tributes and for Lily, but no.

And lastly, I hate how Ancient Gear Beast is under both the magic 2100 and the magic 2400. Take one out.

Spells!

1 Brain Control

1 Heavy Storm

2 Hammer Shot

1 Limiter Removal

1 Mystical Space Typhoon

1 Pot of Avarice

3 Ancient Gear Castle

1 Scapegoat

2 Enemy Controller

1 Smashing ground

Well, since often times we’ll have the bigger monster, Hammer Shot and Hammer Shot can go bye- bye. Also, with Giant Rat and Nimble gone, we don’t need Pot of *coughcoughweedcoughcough* Avarice.

And last but least, shut your trap for trap cards.

1 Torrential Tribute

3 Sakuretsu Armor

2 Bottom Trap Hole

Since there’s absolutely zero disruption here, and disruption hits it hard, We should make some room by taking out Sakeretsu Armor. And we’ll take another out, too.

Now to add some cards.

We killed off 11 monsters, 3 spells, and a trap.

For monsters, first we’ll push in a Magician of Faith. We have a number of valable Spells in here and she’ll fetch them! Thank you!

Now we need tribute fodder. 3 Cyber Dragons aren’t too hard to get these days, and the price will go down now that he isn’t very hyped compared to last format. Next, Twin-Headed Behemoth. If he’s destroyed, he comes back in the End Phase one time only. Don’t know why people don’t use him. He’s reliable tribute fodder. We have 4 more open slots, and we need more Machines for Limiter Removal. Oh, AND WE’RE PUTTING SPIRIT REAPER IN!!!!

For those 3 open slots, we’ll use Dekoichi the Battlenchanted Locomotive, Card Trooper, and Crystal Seer for those crappy draws.

In here, I like Book of Moon. We flip anything we want, and comboed with Ancient Gear Golem’s Piercing effect, it makes massive Life Point advantage. The other I’d like to add is called “Premature Burial”. WHY NOT YOU USE EET!!!!!!! And why you not use Swords of Revealing Light to stock up on monsters to tribute while you terrorize you opponent with that Ancient Gear Golem hm!?

For Traps, well.... Um... For one thing we should- CALL OF THE HAUNTED!!!!!!!! Then Trap Dustshoot. If you can afford that Mirror Force, great. Replace it with one of those yucky Sakeretsu Armors.

And now your Deck looks like this.

Monsters- 20

2 Ancient Gear Golem

2 Ancient Gear Beast

1 Ancient Gear Engineer

2 Ancient Gear Soldier

3 Cyber Dragon

1 Magician of Faith

1 Dekoichi the Battlenchanted Locomotive

1 Card Trooper

1 Breaker the Magical Warrior

1 Sangan

1 Treeborn Frog

1 Neo-Spacian Grand Mole

1 Spirit Reaper

1 Twin-Headed Behemoth

1 Crystal Seer

Spells- 14

1 Brain Control

1 Heavy Storm

1 Limiter Removal

1 Mystical Space Typhoon

1 Book of Moon

3 Ancient Gear Castle

1 Scapegoat

2 Enemy Controller

1 Smashing ground

1 Swords of Revealing Light

1 Premature Burial

Traps- 6

1 Torrential Tribute

1 Sakuretsu Armor

2 Bottom Trap Hole

1 Trap Dustshoot

1 Call of the Haunted

And there you go. Contact the person who made the Deck at MMrwyche@aol.com .

I will accept deck fixes only during the day this article was posted, and I will only choose one. NO COOKIE CUTTER DECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!! This including things like DDT, Destiny Hero Beatdown, and other decks like that. If it is your deck that you created without copying anyone, and you would like some help with it, send it to me, or any comments to destinyhero@verizon.net. However, if your name is Laurie and you’re a jerk, you can try, but you’re on my block list. I wish I could do everyone’s deck, but I just don’t have the time for it.
