Trading Card Game Tips from fans

June 2007

I'd like to acquaint you with 4 cards.
Andro Sphinx
ATK/3000 DEF/2500
[Beast/Effect]
You can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this card when Pyramid of Light is on the field. This card cannot attack during the turn it was Normal Summoned or Special Summoned. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. If this card destroys a Defense Position monster as a result of battle, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to half of the ATK of the destroyed monster.

Sphinx Telia
ATK/2500 DEF/3000
[Beast/Effect]
You can pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this card when Pyramid of Light is on the field. This card cannot attack during the turn it was Normal Summoned or Special Summoned. This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard. If this card destroys a Defense Position monster as a result of battle, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to half of the DEF of the destroyed monster.

Thenein the Great Sphinx 3500/3000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by paying 500 Life Points when both "Andro Sphinx" and "Sphinx Teleia" on your side of the field are destroyed at the same time; then you can Special Summon this monster from your hand or Deck. When this card is Special Summoned successfully, pay 500 Life Points to increase the ATK of this card by 3000 points until the end of the End Phase.

Pyramid of Light

If this face-up card is removed from your side of the field, destroy "Andro Sphinx" and "Sphinx Teleia" on your side of the field and remove them from play

This adds up VERY nicely. All you need to do is activate a simple trap, and just like that, you're special summoning these crazy 3000-point beasts. If your opponent tries to defend, they'll still get burned. Why won't people play these cards!? There's no other restrictions! Heck, The two main monsters can be summoned in ANY way! If the pyramid is destroyed, you get an even STRONGER monster! Paying 500 Points is almost nothing to get the effect of Injection Fairy Lily!!!

3500 is killer and 6500 is worse, but best of all, the Pyramid of Light doesn't even NEED to be destroyed-- just removed from the field. So, in this deck, you should have MST to hit yourself, along with Heavy Storm and Giant Trunade! There's also cards that will kill off your monsters. Just hope your opponent uses Lightning Vortex or Mirror Force (Did I mention that they'll never use those on you!) to get the master Thenein out! Or use Thunder Crash!

This ends part one of the Cursed Pyramid Trilogy!
