Trading Card Game Tips from fans

From: Sam Waters
Subject: It's going to require maths.... - Gilgamesh

Not a decktype, but a combo. Burn decks will probably know this move anyway, and if they don't, they probably should.

Ring of Destruction + Barrel Behind the Door + +Att cards (e.g. Yami) + Suicide Monster.

Now, the basics of this combo are simple. Very, very simple. In fact, I'll take you through it:

1. Take monster. Any monster, any level.
2. Make said monster's Att as large as possible. You can do this anyway you want. Command Knight, A.forces, ALO, Gaia Power...I don't care.
3. Blast monster into oblivion (no prizes for guessing how you do that...).
4. Cackle evilly (Note: this should be practiced for maximum effect).

It is possible to use this combo by changing one, yes, one slot in your deck. The end result you ask? Mass amounts of damage, and what's more, it is almost impossible for your opponant to block ALL of the damage. I'll now look at each of the parts required for this to work:

RING OF DESTRUCTION

Come on. You must have realized that any combo involving mass damage would involve this card. This will (or probably should), be in your deck anyway, so it's not a problem to slot it in. I don't need to say anything more about it, do I?

BARREL BEHIND THE DOOR

This card is the crux of the plan. This card, when combo'd with Ring, will shield your own Life Points from the damage of Ring. What's more, it will transfer that damage to your opponant's LP! Sweet, isn't it? Using Ring + Barrel, you can blast any monster on the field into itty-bitty pieces, and inflict double that monster's attack score to your opponents LP. Your opponant cannot block all the damage, because what is actually happening is that the monsters attack is inflicted twice to your opponent, so any efforts made (outside Hallowed Life Barrier) would only block half the damage.

(Note: You CANNOT use this card to switch costs onto your opponent (e.g.
Cyber-Stein). Barrel can only reflect actual damage.)

Use it on any monster with 2000 Att or more, and half of your opponent's LP is gone in one hit. That'll put paid to any Cyber-Stein shenanigens, I tell you now. Or you could be really, really, really evil and LET them play Stein. Let them drain 5000 of their own LP, then Ring + Barrel that prized Cyber End Dragon. Tears should follow, especially if you've mastered Step 4.

SUGGESTED SUICIDERS

This is a quick list of a few cards that are, quite frankly, screaming to be blasted. Refering to cards not on the list, any level 4 or less cards with big Att scores and big drawbacks are perfect for this.

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys (It'll just be back once you've blasted it...) Vampire Lord (See above) Goblin Attack Force Goblin Elite Attack Force Giant Orc Armor Exe Majestic Mech- Ohka (He'd be gone anyway- Launch him!) Cyber Dragon Fusion monsters you've used Stein for (Cyber End Dragon, Cyber Twin, etc,
etc...)
ANY MONSTERS OF YOUR OPPONENTS WHEN NECCESSARY (I cannot state this enough.
If you are staring down the barrel of Zaborg or Cyber Dragon and have the combo down, USE IT!)

***

The most difficult part of the combo is boosting the monsters strength. For a few decks, this isn't a problem. For the rest, either be content with around 4000 damage, or side deck some in. To "tech" the combo in, simply allocate one deck slot to Barrel Behind the Door.

Enjoy using this. Any comments, queries, violent death threats (thats a joke), etc, send to swaters@blueyonder.co.uk

*Tips his hat to you all*

Gilgamesh.
