Subject: Revolution Format Final Test Version 0.4 - Johnny Tek

Project R, the campaign for a third format, has entered its final

and most widespread run of testing for Revolution Format. Players are

reminded to keep in mind that this format is for experienced players and that Project

R is not trying to replace the current format used by child and adult alike

worldwide. The goal of Project R is to create a new option through high-end

tournaments for players looking for a higher level of challenge and a Yu-Gi-Oh!

experience that is much closer to Kazuki Takahashi's vision than what is

currently offered in the tournament system. In Revolution Format, none of the cards

becomes a "Deck Staple" that appears in every single competitive Deck. (such

as Mirror Force or Heavy Storm or Cyber Dragon) This means that in a tournament

setting using this format, players can not predict or assume what any of

their opponents' cards will be before the Duel begins unless they have previously

seen the opponents' cards in action. Many unusual themes, difficult card

combinations, and never-before-seen strategies are made competitively viable so

even though it takes more effort and more thought to construct a Deck and Side

Deck using this format, the fun of actual game play is very much worth the extra

work.

If you'd like to find out more about Project R, you can send your e-mails to

JohnnyBQuick@aol.com.

P.S. Don't forget to read the explanation text carefully before trying out

the format. (especially while putting together your Deck) And if you think that

the restriction list has too many cards on it to make a Deck, you're

undoubtedly a victim of Advanced Format-conditioned "Brain Shock", because the number

of cards on the list (192) is less than 10% of the total menu of cards

currently available worldwide. (over 2,100) One of our testing volunteers in New York

was only 10 years old and even he was able to make a decent "Frog" Deck using

this format.
