Red-Eyes Fang with Chain
– #LEDU-EN004

Target 1 “Red-Eyes” monster you control; equip this card to it. It can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase. You can send this Equip Card to the GY, then target 1 Effect Monster on the field; equip that target to the monster this card was equipped to, and if you do, while a monster is equipped to it by this effect, its ATK/DEF become equal to the original ATK/DEF of that equipped monster.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Red-Eyes Fang with Chain is a great archetype trap.

Any Red-Eyes monster can be equipped with this, so it’s flexible. Double attacks on monsters during the Battle Phase opens up more direct damage potential. The Snatch Steal ability by detaching this is fantastic. The stolen monster becomes equipped and gives the monster its equipped to a ATK/DEF boost equal to its ATK/DEF, awesome. You eliminate a problem without having to spending really anything. A few Red-Eyes monsters trigger effects off detaching an equip, making this card an even better choice to combo with them. Anything that needs to be destroyed to gain an effect loses out to being attached to this, as they are now an equip card and not a monster. Red-Eyes monsters have high ATK as is, and now they can gain even more by detaching one card. You could chain two Red-Eyes Fang with Chain onto one monster, detach and steal, then make two attacks with your high-powered Red-Eyes. Archfiend Black Skull Dragon can do some serious work with its effect damage effect when making up to two attacks each turn. While being able to make a direct attack with Red-Eyes with Chain would be great, this little technicality balances the card.

We finish off with the Kunai with Chain retrain card, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain.

Red-Eyes Fang with Chain can be equipped to a Red-Eyes you control, but take note that it is a Trap Card and not an Equip Spell. That gives it a little bit of chainability for its effect. The monster equipped can attack 2 monsters each Battle Phase, which it is always great to get extra attacks to get more damage in or clear out any monster your opponent has. You can send this Equipe card to the GY to equip one Effect Monster on the field to the monster this card was equipped to, and the ATK and DEF of the monster becomes the ATK and DEF of the monster equipped to it. Nice out to some annoying monsters, plus Slash Dragon or Gearfried can easily get rid of it with their effects if the monster has low stats.

This card is great for any Red-Eyes variant, as it can help you out your opponent’s monsters as well as go in for more attacks.

They seem rather intent on making a lot of this Red Eyes support equip oriented, which doesn’t strike me as a good thing.  But I digress, as we close the week looking at Red-Eyes Fang with Chain.  Target and Equip this card to one Red Eyes Monsters you control, who can then attack up to twice on Monsters during the Battle Phase.  Extra attacks are good, and it’s good that this is optional, because sometimes, you’d rather destroy with an effect or Magic/Trap card than attack.  Also, you can send this card to the Graveyard to target an Effect Monster on the Field, and that card becomes Equipped to the Monster this card was originally on.  If you do, while said Monster is Equipped by this effect, its attack and defense become equal to the original attack and defense of the Equipped Monster.  That second effect is junk at best, and not likely to be very useful.  This isn’t junk, but like most of this week, pretty meh.
